Hey Nick! I flew the sock but unfortunately not the range yet. The difference from the practical, The Sock has a lot of storage space very good for bivouac flying. The pack size is a bit larger but small enough for normal hike and fly pilots :) The range offers less storage space, but the pack size is perfect for pilots who are really looking for a small pack size for long hike and fly tours. Both have their pros and cons. :)
@@juergen_watschka thanks for the reply, I'll be interested in a comparison after you've flown both, at the moment I'm flying strike 2 which is fine with my Alpina 4, but with my phi Scala light it's not very good too much yaw and a lot of movement that makes the flight work load excessive. The phi Scala is fine with my other harness.
I had the weightless and my feeling was that it is not an everyday harness, is the RAX3 possible to use as your daily harness or will it not last then?
The Range X-Alps 3 is a great harness for people who hike a lot with XC equipment or for those who simply want a very light harness. The material seems robust for everyday use. But you should pay attention to handling. Don't drag around a lot avoid landings on your butt. If you pay attention to these points, it is absolutely an everyday harness. ;) But it is also an lightweight harness like the weightless. What did you not like about the weightless?
Am Besten den Blödsinn ganz bleiben lassen und am Boden bleiben. Dann braucht ihr das alles nicht und die Krankenversicherung muss auch nicht für euren Leichtsinn aufkommen. Das hilft...
Warum testest du nicht mal das Delight 4.... ein ordneltiches Liegegurtzeug das es dank Sitzbrett auch erlaubt sofort in eine sichere und kompakte Lage zu kommen..... die meisten Liegegurte überfordern eh 99% der Piloten ..... würde mich mal interessieren was du davon hältst.... glg
@@juergen_watschka ich würde für den „normalen“ Piloten wohl das Standart sehen da es viel Stauraum hat hinten…… …. Ich habe unzählige Liegegurte getestet aber das hat mich durch Einfachheit, Robustheit, Comfort und Sicherheit dann wirklich überzeugen können und mehrere Sicherheitstrainer haben mir empfohlen immer mit Sitzbrett um so auch als Nicht-Profi sofort in den sicheren Zustand zu kommen….. würde mich interessieren was du davon hältst oder ob ich da vielleicht falsch sehe…..
