If I had to choose only one brand of eyeshadow to wear for the rest of time, I would choose Oden's Eye without hesitation! It's my favorite matte and shimmer formula, hands down! I have loved every single palette and shad since Angie's first collab!

See, I love their mattes, but the shimmers drive me crazy with all the fall-out. Nothing works to keep that from happening to me because I have very hooded eyes, and skin is always scraping together. I look like a disco ball at the end of the day. The mattes are divine, though.
A quick thought regarding the pack rat mentality… I keep thinking I need to hold onto all of the Nomad palettes for comparisons (and because I got them in PR) but the other day I had an epiphany. I don’t have to be the Nomad Archivist or Encyclopedia. I especially don’t have to keep things that I never use and don’t serve me. Maybe that will help?

Not sure if it's the kind of videos that get views (I understand that's a primary decision factor for content creation) but I love the videos you did that combine palettes (especially the fantasy one as well as one combining yours and Heather Austin's collab palettes). That's how I do my makeup and I think it really encourages us to make use of our collection. Would really love to see more of that!

Out of the three sister palettes, I love the Flora Story palette the most. It's sooo pretty and cohesive. I won't be purchasing it, but it definitely speaks to my soul.
This has been the year of Fantasy Cosmetica for me and i don't see that stopping anytime soon. 💙 I might have to pick up the Ghost Town USA or Midnight Serenade though...both of those are the subtle spooky i wear in my day to day and they're grabbing my attention.

Happy New Year!!!! I loved your wrap-up of your favorite palettes 😍 As a Gen-Z I will say I never go to a restaurant unless I have checked the menu. Sometimes when I am eating out alone, I have to walk outside the restaurant for a couple of minutes to get the strength to go order 😭 This is why it's so important to have friends who do not have that anxiety and can go out and eat with you !!!
I understand that for sure, I’m definitely the non-anxiety friend who will take the wheel at restaurants 😂 but that’s also something that’s developed more over my life too so I get it. I developed a lot more personal confidence + my outgoing personality grew through my 30’s

I think it's 100% fair to put your work in your favorites. Also, your palette is one of only 10 I got this year. My top favorites have been lure and sugar & grunge from blend bunny, basic Witch from Bella beaute bar and your flora story. I did successfully get Huda rose quartz for half off and she's pretty. The pat McGrath r2d2 palette was disappointing and I should have just got a new r2d2 tchotchke instead.
Kudos to you for ranking your palettes, it would be too hard for me and I'd overthink things. Eating out makes me anxious due to food restrictions. The main ones are corn, milk and pork. I worry I won't have options, I'll spoil the mood or upset the waitress/cook.
I have the OE Jewels and Gems palette!! It was my first time trying out the brand and the swatches blew my away but when I used it... speechless. I've only worn a couple shades but it's gorgeousss
You could always film swatches of your palettes to splice to new ones for comparisons. I don't know how technical that is, but you could declutter more that way.
my menu anxiety is that I want to try it all, so will never make a decision unless I check out all the options 3x first (when the online menu doesn't match, might as well have another cocktail and settle in while I analyze ever ingredient & combo...and how I would have swapped things if I were the chef; the culinary version of rebuilding a palette)

Hello and Happy New Year Amanda ! Thank you for this very well curated yearly ranking. I'm really interested by fantasy cosmetica and Nomad cosmetics that I've not tried yet but I've loved the jewels and gems palette by Nomad. 😊
Nomad and Fantasy Cosmetica nailed it this year, IMO, but I had to give my number one slot to Isamaya's Industrial 2.0 because I use it so much and still enjoy experimenting with the formulas and finishes. Unfortunately, Oden's Eye formulas just don't perform well for me though I love their colour stories.
Colourpop was very focused on Target releases this year. I barely got palettes… I think I got 2? One was a gift lol I would love to get into Indie brands but I already have so many palettes. And they’re kinda pricey.
Of the top ones that you mentioned, I have Flora Story, Jewels & Gems, & Italian Spritz. Flora Story is definitely my favorite so far (mostly because I've had it the longest). I gifted the Jewels & Gems one to myself for Christmas, after getting it on sale for black Friday. So far I've only done 2 looks, but I love it! I'm just nervous with the blues. & I haven't touched Italian Spritz yet, but I can't wait!
Such a fun video..its so hard sometimes to rank our favorites when they all are. 😅I really enjoyed the lethal midnight serenade and the fighter palette. My other favs this year come from ensleigh reign, bella beaute bar, and unearthly. Thanka for sharing
My favorite new palette this year is the mega-sized Neutral palette from Beauty Bay. It's huge, but every shade I've used has been pretty, and the shades just do what you want them to do. I've read a lot of positive comments about the OE Jewels & Jem palette, but Jen Phelps said all the shimmer shades were sheer toppers. I'm not into topper shades, so I haven't picked up that palette.
That certainly hasn’t been my experience with the shimmers in the OE palette! I think you can tell just from the swatches in this video but definitely in my previous tutorials as well 🤩
I think there is a UK vs US difference in food interest/preference at work here. I lived in England for a bit, and I think there are a couple of different reasons for this. Loved your ranking and the final look is gorgeous.

I’m 35 and I google the menu before I go to a restaurant if I’ve never been there because what if there ISNT something I will eat. (There always is)
I didn't bought palettes tgis year, just some single Lethal Cosmetics Eyeshadows.
I used to be fine at restaurants but then I got diagnosed with celiac disease.
