Hi Francesca, At the age of 72 i have just decided to give learning piano a go. I find your style very pleasant and your vids very informative. Although I understand all of what you say and do many of the vids are beyond me (for now) It would be handy if you annotated your vids with beginner , intermediate or advanced or even a number say from 1-10 to indicate what stage of development one should be at before attempting. I recognise that to become really proficient i would be looking at 15 years or so of hard practice so i have set my sights a bit lower! Keep up you briliant work and i wish you every success.
My dream is watch a video teaching how to play a music from Spirit (the horse), it's my favorite movie! I really wish to learn from you, because you have the best tutorials!
Hi Francesca. I play that left hand when I play In The Mood on my TH-cam channel. Thanks again for teaching me Funky Town, Green Onions, and the end of Chiquitita.
I've been watching your videos lately and my piano skill have improved a lot! Thanks for your helpful lessons. Btw, can you do a tutorial for Adele's song called Strangers by Nature ? The piano instrument of that song is awesome.
Thank you for the video. I'm going back and forth with learning how to play a Cigar Box Guitar and also an electronic keyboard, and these types of lessons are great to start out with.
Learning the piano can even start at 3 and 81. There is no age limit for Learning. The day you stop learning you retire. So be an enthusiastic learner.
Hey Francesca, I’m blown away after watching your blues beginner video that I actually sound somewhat like a blues pianist, seriously never thought that remotely possible. Huge credits to you for all your hard work, dedication and teaching skills for putting out those videos to help people like myself and so many others with correct fingering and all the fundamentals that a beginner pianist should absolutely be aware of, it’s almost like being spoon fed. I play by ear and have no intention of even trying at this point in my life to attempt learning to read music. Are your courses geared towards playing by ear as well?
I have one paid course which is focused on how to read music. I don’t yet have one focused on playing by ear. When someone ‘plays by ear’, it’s only part actually playing by ear, and A LOT of theory knowledge (knowing scales, chords really well etc)
Please, please, please can you make a tutorial for Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga from Top Gun? I can’t find one anywhere that is the piano accompaniment and I’m dying to learn it. Love your videos! Thank you!!!
Love the lessons on the blues…I’m an intermediate piano player but just starting on the blues style…would love to see as many lessons to progress my blues piano…exercises for left and right hand coordination and fun things to play using right hand runs and licks etc ❤
Thanks so much for this blues lesson I’m a beginner to intermediate player in general but really need to learn blues and jazz styles and be introduced little by little progression and having some lines and licks that I can build on.👍🎹🎶
Hello! Could you please do a tutorial on ribbon in the sky by Stevie wonder? It was my parents wedding song and i really want to play it for them. Thank you!
Great stuff! The real takeaway for me, however (being somewhat experienced with playing the blues) was your tidbit having to do with swinging the notes using the mantra ‘hump-TY dump-TY hump-TY dump-TY …”. That’s brilliant! I struggled with swinging notes, and still do at times, but using this silent mantra helps tremendously, having run to my piano and trying it before coming back to comment. Thanks! 😎👍
hey can you do Dismantle (Peter Sandberg) & Declaration (Johannes Bornlōf) please i need them please please please please please please please please please
Here I have a song suggestion, which is Great Balls of Fire, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Disengage by Kieran Rhodes. Please do these songs i love ur tutorials
Hiya I struggle counting the number of measures I've played in the left hand , whilst improvising with the right . I tend to lose track..is it just an experience / practice thing ?
That’s a great idea, if I remember correctly isn’t that Melody a bit tricky for a beginner? Talking about Saint James infirmary? Have you tried bags groove or C Jam blues?
Hey nice video as usual...I really like your work and I would like to know if you can do a tutorial for "Medellin" of Sofiane Pamart it's a pretty complicated but this piece is very beautiful but no one is making tutorial of it Have a nice day
can you plzzzzz do TV or The 30th by Billie Eilish. Please your videos are the only piano tutorials i can learn from and plus you haven’t done a billie eilish one in a while
Great teacher, I have a problem with my left hand when I play..Is there a simple and nice exercise to separate the senses and I would be grateful to you.
This is a great lesson thanks Is there any chance you can tell me what fingers to use in the right hand? I’m blind so can’t actually see which ones you’re using
If you’re talking about the scale she plays the fingers and order some on C just be sure that your third finger is on the E flat ones that will help you with even flow. Reach out if you have other questions :-)
@@PianoSpiceRackwithJim thanks really appreciate that that’s how I was playing it i’ve only been playing a few weeks and I’m not quite sure what fingers I should be using yet Think I need to find myself a piano teacher haha

No. It’s not a diatonic scale, it’s a hexatonic scale. As mentioned in the video, it’s effectively the major pentatonic with an added flattened 3rd. The 4th and 7th aren’t included (the F and B).
@@PianoSpiceRackwithJim never got around to looking at the blues scale, just assumed it was similar to a major scale where every note had to have a name etc
No, a pentatonic scale only has 5 different notes (‘pent’ means five). This is a hexatonic scale, as explained in the video (hex means six), as there are 6 different notes.
