I think David Bowie would love the way this song is being used now. Even if it's only for a short term internet meme, it's genuinely one of the greatest memes we can get. I dated a girl for eight years, but we broke up almost a year ago. We're still close, but there's a reason I bring this up and how it give significance to the name of "Starman" to me. It was a tough eight years, and not romantically. She suffered from some pretty deep depression, but I opened them up and we dated. A couple months ago, I was watching the nickelodeon kids choice Awards when the ads came on. After a couple of normal ads, the Lightyear trailer came on and this song started playing. I knew I knew it from somewhere, I just knew that voice. I couldn't figure it out so I looked it up, and this was it. I was so surprised it was David Bowie.
