Oh Maggie- When I saw you walking to the bathroom holding your JP drain I just wept saying "how much more can that little body take?!?!?!?! You are the bravest young woman I've ever watched and I so wish you peace and joy. I want you and Zak to have a wonderful wedding and marriage and a life with no more health issues. God bless you and watch over you. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
nice to see real people dealing with real life problems without the need for extra antics to get views, keep it up, this is one of the best channels on youtube
So glad you're home. (Still looking so pretty even after this ordeal!) Maggie, You. Are. Such. An. Inspiration! Wishing you a speedy recovery. Claire xxx
Your response to adversity is inspiring and courageous. I am sure the information you have provided on your channel and at the bedside as a nurse has helped many with similar medical issues. May your spirit never fade and may your illness stay in remission. And thanks for the window view which included my medical school.
Bless your heart. I've had Crohn's disease for 46 years and gratefully it has been "in remission " since 1986. Small problems, nothing like you. Here I am crying over cancer if the breast. Shame on me. Keep up with your vlogs they help me so much.
There is no shame in you crying over breast cancer, that is one hell of a problem to cope with, wishing you all the best with treatment, and will be thinking of you and keeping you in the prayers, we have all had different medical issues in life to cope with, including myself, but have come out the other side, and so far so good, and have my life back, there is always light at the end of the tunnel it just takes a while to get there, but get there you will
you are one brave lady, you have been through so so much and you are still smiling. Zak is a great partner and cares so much for you. Prayers for a great recovery, now on to a beautiful wedding. Can't wait to see your dress and see y'all get hitched!
Hi Maggie, I’m new to the ostomy world. And though I’m much older than you, your videos have helped me feel more comfortable in my new skin. The positive attitude you keep is infectious. Thank you for what you do. You help to make all of this just a bit easier!
Oh! The infamous post surgery granny walk. I know that well. Listen Maggie, I know how rough this has been but you're never really alone. I'm so thankful you're doing a little better this morning. And I'm sure you'll be in full Maggie-mode for the wedding. You're a great fighter! And an inspiration. Our prayers are with you sweetheart, always. xoxo Be happy, be safe!
Goodness girl, you are the strongest person I know, even if its only threw TH-cam, you inspire to step forward with a smile with anything coming your way!
Man your a trooper, watching you walking so well after surgery is crazy you must be in so much pain. I've only had a small laproscopic surgery and i felt sooo pathetic for atleast 2 weeks. wishing you a speedy recovery.
I am so glad you are heading home and that your surgery went ok. I am sure you are in a lot of pain. I am so glad that you have Sweet Zack to take care of you. You have been thru so much but I hope this surgery will be it for you and that you will heal without any problems. Take care.
After watching many of your videos I must say what a brave young lady you are but I also want to give praise to Zak for his strength, understanding, kindness, and loyalty. He must really love you. Don't let him go. I am so proud that there are people like him. Bolsters my faith in humanity.
I found your videos when I was in the hospital for a colon rupture. I was alone and scared because my husband was home with our 4 year old son. You are like a dear friend although we never met. Sending love and positive vibes your way. You and Zak are a wonderful couple and I'm looking forward to your wedding videos! 🤗😍
You are one tough lady. I had a nephropexy and hobbled around like I was dying. Wish I had your strength. You are amazing! Thank you for sharing your journey.
You have been through so much, at such a young age. You are a warrior! I just spent four in in the Cleveland Clinic and I had to spend a lot of that time alone so I can empathize with you. I wish you good health, an easy recovery, and a magical wedding! 💙 Karen
Heya! New the the channel. Just wanted to say, as a med student, seeing how you cope with a smile through whatever life throws at you is wholesome and inspiring, and I hope I could help my future patients find a similar look at life.
My heart goes out to you brave girl and to Zak who seems to be a special man. God bless you both with patience and courage. Hope all your problems are now behind you. Stay strong.
You are such a inspiration to me I stumbled onto you channel because I'm having a ilostomy next year im 51 and to see a young beautiful girl like you cope with all this so well is helping me more than you would believe thank you
This is strange...I wish research could be done. I was born with too many ureters. Had surgery at 6 months y/o to remove 2 of them and the bladder, kidney, uterus, and colon surgeries go from there. My story isn’t actually like yours but I feel there has to be explanations for people who have a lot of things that seem to be designed differently. And i understand your feelings regarding surgery during a pandemic. It’s so scary even though I’ve had at least 20 surgeries to go through things alone. You are so STRONG! I’m so glad you are documenting your story.
As I deal with a rather awful UC flare and feel sorry for myself I watch this and see your continual battle. I have no right to complain. You are so brave and strong through it all. I so hope you and Zach get a wonderful wedding and more than that.. For you to feel better and stop needing surgery for a long long time.💞
Oh, it is Dennis again, I got so involved in asking you my first question I forgot about your latest surgery. Absolutely you have my prayers for a fast and complete recovery. Your belly looks like a topographical map of a mountain range. As so many others have said you have a wonderful attitude towards all the problems you have had. You are a guiding light to others going thru the same kind of problems about how you can cope with it. Zack's attitude is wonderful also. You look like a very loving couple. He gives you support like so few men know how to do. Again, you have my prayers for your fast recovery and my admiration at your fortitude in handling all your medical problems. Get well soon.
So wonderful to see you went home and all went well. You are such a trooper. Not sure how you handle all of the medical issues you have endured with a smile. I thought of you this week and will keep you in my prayers for a full, quick recovery!
Oh Maggie! I'm sorry you had to go through this without Zach💔.. thank goodness for kind nurses💞. Happy you're home and recovering with your pups in comfort💜
I prayed so hard for you. My dad had Chron’s. I know how he suffered. Thank you for giving joy and peace of mind to millions of people. You are a treasure. May your healing be quick. May you rest easy now and just have joy in the moment in planning your special upcoming day. You and Zak are darling and adorable together. Zak stay sweet as you are and take very good care of her. I know you will. Love and hugs to you both!💕
Such a soldier Maggie stay strong & just think of not only the great days ahead but the thousands that will watch these personal experience videos & be better for it, get well get strong get married 👏👏👏👏👏
Yes! I'm so thankful for this video. I watched it the first time as I did your other videos because I follow you. Now I watched it again, knowing that I'll be having the same surgery, and likely will need to be opened up due to all my adhesions from previous Crohn's surgeries, too. Thanks for documenting the process, Maggie. ❤️
Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us and for not sugar-coating your experience. It’s always okay to cry! My hubbie is headed for Sx at HUP in a few weeks so I appreciate knowing that I may not be able to see him recovery, I hate that, but thanks for letting us know. I hope you feel better very soon!! Gentle hugs!
I can relate to the kidney and bladder spasms. I did not tolerate the stent very well. Neither the Flowmax or Oxybutynin helped with the pain for either of those issues. Motrin 600 and a heating pad and staying off my feet were what helped me. You are a trooper with all that you are dealing with and making it through surgery and recovery without your amazing Zac by your side. This was an unexpected health issue for me and I am grateful for the ER and floor nurses who were so caring during my 'visits' with them. I think I spent a good deal of the time either totally out of it or crying and throwing up and they were all very sweet. Glad you are home. Prayers for continued recovery and minimal stent discomfort and pain.
You dear, brave girl! You did it! Wahoo! I'm sorry Zach wasn't allowed with you... but what a blessing those nurses were! I couldn't help but think of the many, many people you have blessed as a nurse and through your channel. We love you! Prayers for a quick and uncomplicated recovery! Bring on that wedding!
Hi again Maggie, I hope the best for you going along. I'm not sure why I keep watching your videos, other than because you strongly remind me of my wife who passed in February. (She was a lot older though, please don't take that wrong). I started watching you when I had an emergency colostomy two years ago, and I thank you again for your tips and advice. I did have it reversed last year, but I still watch your vids sometimes and I guess being I am alone now, in a weird way your videos, especially ones as this, I guess are sort of cathartic for me, knowing that my wife had gone through a lot of medical issues, in and out of the hospital, she (and you by the way) were some tough cookies with all you've been through. My wife had many issues, probably 15 or 20 operations over her life and you both amaze me with your strength. I hope you can eventually live life without too many more bumps, you've obviously been through a bunch. Thank you again, and tell Zak I'm still jealous. 😊😊❤
I had to do it alone as well. The hospital tried to kick my hubby out of the hospital at 9 pm before I was out of recovery. It’s sucks! It doesn’t make sense to me either. Hanging at least one support person with you makes things go so much smoother.
I just ran across your channel over the weekend. I’ve enjoyed your positivity so much thank you for that. I just had a colostomy done on Wednesday as an emergency surgery. I was told I had IBS-D in June. Nothing was improving so ended back in the hospital because of severe abdominal pain and not keeping things down and severe bowl issues. They finally did a colonoscopy and it showed I have Crohn’s disease instead of IBS. They decided due to things shown on colonoscopy that a colostomy was needed. I have a urostomy also for my bladder due to having bladder cancer in 2001. So again thank you for all your videos explaining things and I’ve enjoyed watching and learning from your Journey.
You are a precious young woman. Very! Brave. I applaud the way you handle your illness. Zak is adorable, says the 70 year old lady. :) The barn is going to be amazing. Love your home! Here comes the Bride!
You’re incredibly strong and inspiring in so many ways - prayers being sent your way. Also: a complete side note and not the point of the video, but I was so touched that you packed snacks for Zak. You’re headed into this surgery and freaked out, and you packed snacks.
Your videos help other people a lot who are suffering the same like you do. So thank you so much for your courage. You are so strong, but I think sometimes you want to be weak - but please don't give up. I wish you all the best in the world.
No matter how many times you’re in the hospital I still get nervous and I hate it I should be a pro 31 years and it never gets easier stand strong you’re a true warrior you’re in my prayers and let your future hubby take care of you it’s hard to find ones who will stand by you in sickness and health!!!
I have surgery Thursday to repair recovaginal fistula! I have had about 7 surgeries in the last year & I’m still nervous! I’m so glad that you came through your surgery.
You're such a brave and strong woman who has been through so much. Your positive attitude is an inspiration to so many people. Stay strong and just know you and Zak are in my prayers.
I had kidney surgery about twenty years ago, glad surgery is so much more advanced, had a stent put in, kept it for six months, get better, you are such a brave girl, all my good wishes and prayers!! I cried too!!
You are an inspiration! I recently found your Chanel and have been binge watching lol. I have chronic health issues and your determination and optimism is just amazing!
Truly a brave young woman who knows her way around a hospital room, too bad this hospital room was tragically ugly! Yet her outlook is totally positive!
l am a nurse & l am crying 💔 l worked in a pediatric emergency before, so. it is my first time seeing all those scars at once ! hope u full recovery, stay strong & healthy ❤
I had same as you Oh fond memories 😢 You’re so lucky to have Zak beside you. I think back on how did I get through it all alone and still be sane. Us IBD’rs go through so much sh-t nobody else could ever possibly understand unless they had the same 🥰 love your chats and honesty
Thank you for sharing this. My husband has had bowel instruction surgeries because of adhesions or scar tissue! He has had 2 resections as well. Keep sharing your journey and best wishes on your wedding!! Thank you again for sharing!! God bless!!
I feel so bad for you. For all you have to endure. This has been such a long road for you. I have been watching your videos. I know how hard recovery is alone. I just had open heart surgery for a second time. 4 years ago was quadruple bypass. This last time right before Xmas was aorta valve replacement. Being from Massachusetts there was no visitors so I went through the surgery alone and a weeks stay and recovery alone. Just remember God is always with us. You are never truly alone. May god help 6ou through all your difficult journeys
Baby doll, hang in there! I'm so glad you take your health seriously! I would of cried too. I will keep you both in my prayers. My husband says it's his life and he will live his life the way he wants, eat what he wants. What I think and feel doesn't matter.
You did it! Sorry it was a more complex surgery than you initially though it would be but hopefully the worst is over. I hope the rest of your recovery goes smoothly.
You’ve sure been through a lot! I’ve been watching your videos learning about colostomies, appreciate your openness with all your medical issues and procedures.
Oh Maggie! I'm so sorry you had such a rough time! I really sympathize with you! Seeing you in recovery gave me flashbacks of my own surgery recovery time's. I'm so glad the doctors and surgeon's were able to fix you right up and that you were able to go home! Take it easy! Love you!
After we messaged and you told me about having to stay... then just now watching your opening to the video... it seems like it was a self fulfilling prophecy ha ha! I get loads of adhesions... no-where near how many you get but I hope you don’t need more surgery as that will get worse. But YAY you’re home and I know feeling much better. Hope the jp site healed up quick stix. You did it though, even with the loneliness and difficulty of doing it alone (which by the way is the case all the time here in Australia- I’ve never had anyone accept in my room. I tell them to stay home now, it’s easier to just get on with it - for me). But you know what was so weird... the hospital room layout including the bathroom is exactly the same here!!!!
I am so glad the surgery is over for you ....now can start to pray for a quick and complete healing....The Mom in me had been worried about you. Thank you for letting us know how you are.
U r so strong. I can't imagine what all you are going through. It really gives me perspective when I think about my health issues. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way.
Sorry, you felt you were alone for so long,(I hate that part of it too) but you did have us all rooting for you. The IBD community was right there behind you. Hope you have a good recovery at home, take care x
Praying for you and a fast healing and recovering . I work in the healthcare system and I see how PTs have to go through all their procedures by themselves without their family members I think makes it harder been alone ... nothing will replace that strong support hopefully we are back to normal soon...
Hi Maggie! Thank you so much for all you do! You are of so much help to others who are going through these same struggles. I am wishing you a quick and complete healing, and a beautiful and blessed wedding day! 💕🙏🏻
Big hugs to you Maggie, you survived another surgery! You have been through so much speedy recovery to you & now you can concentrate on the wedding 👰🏻🤵🎊🍾🥂
I just had a surgery last week too where my husband couldn't come back in pre op or after surgery until we got to my hospital room. I know how hard that is im so sorry! It was so hard on me too. People don't realize how scary and hard it is to go through that alone. I have had 13 surgeries in 10 years and it still has not gotten any easier for me. So I understand how you feel! Hope you can start healing and put this kidney stuff behind you. You got this! :)
So glad it's over for you!! Sad you had to stay longer than expected but very good news they have removed all those adhesions too apart from obvious surgery, it's early days but you are going to feel so much better Maggie. All the best to you and Zak xxxxx
Awe, bless your heart..... I'm sorry you had to go thru that pain, you've got a good guy in Zak, he really loves you, and I know you and yalls 💒 wedding will be beautiful.... The medicine that your taking ( I can't spell it) but it's really good, I take it myself..... You will feel a difference in a few days .... Take Care of Yourself..... Much Love n Hugs from the North GA Mountains 💗
Oh God m updating myself with what has happened in last three years... Seems like you went through a lot my pal.. m saddened and wish I was there with you through this time sis.. lots of love to you .. hope God helps you through this..
@@peachxtaehyung yeah, I take it. Still get confused on proper terms so thanks 😊. I looked up the hyper thing before I answered cause one med can be used for multiple conditions.. but it would be a miracle if it stopped sweating.
Currently binge-watching all of your kidney-related videos and it's been so informative and helpful! I'm going in for a nuclear medicine renal scan next week and will most likely need to get the pyeloplasty surgery as well, and seeing your journey is very reassuring.
@@LetsTalkIBD Thank you! I've never had any symptoms/pain fortunately but have known about my kidney issues for ages bc it was an incidental finding when I was a baby. It's time to finally do something and stop it from stressing me out in the background all the time!
Oh Maggie- When I saw you walking to the bathroom holding your JP drain I just wept saying "how much more can that little body take?!?!?!?! You're such a brave and strong woman who has been through so much. Your positive attitude is an inspiration to so many people. Stay strong and just know you and Zak are in my prayers.
Hi Maggie. Wish you a fast recovery. i feel with you. i had a colon cancer surgery last year. stay strong sweetie. greetings from germany
Here's to a very speedy recovery. Sending love and prayers from Dublin Ireland 💚🇮🇪🙏💖🙏💖💞
I had kidney surgery about twenty years ago, glad surgery is so much more advanced, had a stent put in, kept it for six months, get better, you are such a brave girl, all my good wishes and prayers!! I cried too!!
So glad you’re feeling better and will pray for excellent healing for you
You are an inspiration! I recently found your Chanel and have been binge watching lol. I have chronic health issues and your determination and optimism is just amazing!
Girl you're going through a torturous hell on earth. You're braver than I thought. And very strong too.
Truly a brave young woman who knows her way around a hospital room, too bad this hospital room was tragically ugly! Yet her outlook is totally positive!
I'm crying for you. You are such a brave young lady!
l am a nurse & l am crying 💔
l worked in a pediatric emergency before, so. it is my first time seeing all those scars at once ! hope u full recovery, stay strong & healthy ❤
I had same as you
Oh fond memories 😢
You’re so lucky to have Zak beside you. I think back on how did I get through it all alone and still be sane.
Us IBD’rs go through so much sh-t nobody else could ever possibly understand unless they had the same
🥰 love your chats and honesty
Im glad to see you feeling better. You have a great guy. I've seen many of your videos. Im sure you are helping alot if people.
Glad you're out of hospital. Heal well, beautiful!
Glad to see that the surgery is done. Now on to healing quickly. I hope you feel better soon.
Thoughts and prayers are with you , dear lady !
💪Stay Strong‼️💐Your 44.9K friends and I are all rooting for you, and wishing you a Super Speedy recovery❣️
Love your smile on the way home!! Heal quickly! You are a champ!!
Oh Maggie thank God everything went well. I wish you a speedy recovery and a long awaited wedding. Yayyyyyyy. Your strength is amazing.
Oh Maggie! I'm so sorry you had such a rough time! I really sympathize with you! Seeing you in recovery gave me flashbacks of my own surgery recovery time's. I'm so glad the doctors and surgeon's were able to fix you right up and that you were able to go home! Take it easy! Love you!
I'm sorry you had the additional issues and extended stay. I'm glad you are home now to recover.
Zak is so sweet, you can tell he loves you so much Maggie 🥺❤️
Wishing you better days ahead . May you recover quickly and completely !
Hope you’re healing well! I’m sorry your husband couldn’t be with you! I’ve been there as well! I’m sure you are strong! You got this!
@@gracieshepardtothemax1743 Thanks so much! Slowly healing but we'll get there :)
You poor kid. You’ve been through so much, and you’re so brave. Wishing you a speedy recovery, from Australia 💗
Wishing you a smooth sailing recovery ❤️👍 You’re a very brave lass! ✌️💗💖💝
So glad it's over for you!! Sad you had to stay longer than expected but very good news they have removed all those adhesions too apart from obvious surgery, it's early days but you are going to feel so much better Maggie. All the best to you and Zak xxxxx
Hi. So glad your home. Oh I love the squeezy things they put on your legs. So relaxing. Take care, Jodie from Melbourne, Australia. ❤️💐🐨
You are so brave for posting this! Hope you recover well and that you don’t have to go through another surgery in a long long long long long time.
Oh God m updating myself with what has happened in last three years... Seems like you went through a lot my pal.. m saddened and wish I was there with you through this time sis.. lots of love to you .. hope God helps you through this..
You are just so inspirational, and Zak as well. So much suffering for such a young lady. Sending prayers for you both
As a pharmacist I can confirm that you were saying oxybutynin right, it’s an anticholinergic commonly used for bladder incontinence
does it help with hyper hydrosis?
How informative.
Rhonda Rich it’s for your kidneys....
@@meganlovesdisneyandcrafts4780 it's for the bladder but yeah still definitely not for hyper hydrosis lol
Good luck if you're getting it! I'm a year out and was SO glad I did it!!
@@LetsTalkIBD Thank you! I've never had any symptoms/pain fortunately but have known about my kidney issues for ages bc it was an incidental finding when I was a baby. It's time to finally do something and stop it from stressing me out in the background all the time!
I'm so happy to see you up and about! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
