- This is a film registration of Stealers Wheel with "Stuck In The Middle With You" during a performance at the Pinkpop festival June 11, 1973 in Geleen Netherlands.
The sound has been 'refreshed' because of the poor quality.
There are still a lot of people who believe that the original audio belongs to the clip. For those people who for some reason find here the original sound. Judge for yourself!
• Steelers wheel Pinkpop...
I was 12 in 1973.... all these years later i still love this track
I saw this on Pinkpop 1973 in Geleen the Netherlands.
Me. Too. 🙃
This was how bands did it mostly in Summertime! Check out Chicago With Anne Murray: She sings Beatles You Won't See Me!! Thank goodness for You Tube!! BY the way I'm 65: used to do Broadcasting: and this music 🎵🎵🎵 is priceless!!! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Me too! 12 In 73, 61 in 22.
I was 14. Those were the days!!! Weren't they?
I was born 1971,so I was 2 years old when this song came up 😊❤
Such a brilliant, lyrical and poetical pop tune! A masterpiece of its era I absolutely love this song ❤️
Remember this as a kid in the 70s my sisters would have been fans i can now with all the other bands love these big hits.
I'm now stuck in the middle
I was there in 1973 and I have to say that the boys were rather drunk and made quite a mess of their performance ...
gerry rafferty rip you were great
This was my favorite song of all time.
was working on a bread truck when
this came out had the time of life.
After so many decades and thinking this was an early Bob Dylan song, here I am stuck in the middle alone.
Brings back memories some id rather forget but still listening
same it was number 26 on the juke box in the pink elephant bar my mom worked at when i was growing up did my home work watching drunks hit on her
@@perfectfan2006 I hope you don't always have to think about that when listening to this song.
@@perfectfan2006 So you haven't watched "Resoirvoure dogs" I pressume...
@@CONEHEADDK i saw it thought it was a interesting move but it was long ago and i did not study it
@@perfectfan2006 I will never be able to forget Michael Madsens dancing aso to that song for sure..
I really wish we could hear the actual performance not just the millionth re iteration of the album/single version. Okay maybe the sound quality isn't great but that performance is unique and a unique piece of musical history, the recorded version we have heard a million times. It could probably be enhanced as well with modern technology. I hope the actual performance from this occasion is up somewhere I would like to hear it. Technical perfection is overrated anyway

@@gregnormal55. This is my song. It was 1973 ish up to 75..Still overprotected by my fatherr and brother..Mom died, they went bottoms up and I never really was safe….I was in Brattleboro Vermont. No life tools but classy..alone, tragic even.. I knew,, it going to be a long road. This woman friend I picked up from her job. says, “I suppose you think thats you?” In my mind..”Oo Yah I do.”
@@gregnormal55. You know what, Greg…I was alone. I have been alone even in marriage, and fell in love, alone. Stuck in the Middle With Great Spirit and the Holy Ones. No Jesus, Gabriel will do.
Best ever Dylan song that never was
good days,,, great memories...
To think Gerry Rafferty started his music career in a Glasgow folk band with Billy Connolly. They both went on to much greater things.
They did!
Love this song. That slide guitar gets me every time. I read somewhere, years ago, that this song was written with The Rolling Stones in mind to record it. What Mick Taylor may have done with that slide riff we'll never know.
73 good year
I like how they tried to sync the live video with the studio recording.
Hoje eu estou com 68 anos de idade, mas o pick destas músicas levantao o astral .A vida é o agito existencial.
Wow great song i was 8 years old when this song came out
I Was 13 at the time. Listening in bed after dark to Radio Luxemburg. This tune Was my favorite as it hardly ever aired in Danish national radio.
Have you heard Van Morrison's "Hyndford Street" from Hymns to the Silence album? There's a reference to listening late at night to Radio Luxemburg you might enjoy.
It is indeed a masterpiece! 👌
Good times always
Had their 45 for my stereo. Memories!!!!
Never fails to satisfy.
I liked this song before Quinton Tarantino had any idea at all of making his movie ‘Reservoir Dogs’. But I just cannot hear this song now and not think about that incredibly intense scene in that movie.
Love this !
Before cell phones CCTV plastic surgery life was good back then...
RIP Gerry Rafferty, RIP, Joe Egan, RIP, Paul Pilnick.
Absolute Beauty. :-)
Well I don't know why I came here tonight
오늘 밤 내가 왜 여기있는지 모르겠어
I got the feeling that something ain't right
뭔가가 잘못되어가는것 같아
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
의자에서 떨어지면 어떻게 될지 두려워
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs
계단에서 어떻게 내려올까 궁금해
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right
내 왼쪽엔 광대가, 오른쪽엔 조커가
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you, Yes
여기서 난 당신과 함께 갇혀있어
And I'm wondering what it is I should do
내가 무엇을 해야하는지 궁금해
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face
계속 웃음짓고 있기 힘들어
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place
자제력을 잃어버리면서, 완전 흐뜨러졌어
Well you started out with nothing
너는 의미없는 말을 시작하고
And you're proud that you're a self made man
네가 진정한 남자라고 자랑스러워하지
And your friends, they all come crawlin
너의 친구 그들은 기어와서
Slap you on the back and say
너의 등을 치면서
Please.... Please.....
애원하지
Trying to make some sense of it all
뭔가 말이 되게 하려고 만들려고 하지만
But I can see that it makes no sense at all
하지만 전혀 말이 되지 않는다는 것을 알지
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor
바닥에서 자면 추울까
'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore
더이상 참을수 없기 때문이야
Numero uno 👏👏👏
What a tune
2022❤
Yeah brings back memories of the 70s for me ….. all good ….
I wish I could listen to it as original sound even it's poor quality.
I agree, however I am grateful to see this footage.
👍
Gerry Rafferty.. nuff said
Always thought Joe Egan sang this song. Now I see it is Gerry Rafferty. Was 14 at the time . Remember it very well.
With Jesus on drums, you can’t go wrong
great band! it's a shame that they turned out to be only one hit wonder!
Everyone's agreed that more than one hit turned out fine.

Before Baker Street. He was on the right track.
Michael Madsen turned this song into a totally different experience.. :P
Haha, he sure did. Tarantino's movies always marry music with mayhem so well. As for Gerry Rafferty...genius.
He sure did...
How young Gerry Rafferty was !
Great song clowns to the left of me......
Political prediction of the future to come...
If I ever went to a highschool reunion the lyrics are how it would be. I didn't like being around then why would I want to be around them now!
Great Dylan style song.
But it’s Gerry Rafferty.
Still a great track. Puts these boy/girl "bands" and rap f**kwits to shame. RIP Gerry boy.
I would like to see where the slide guitar is coming from! After 1000 views of this video and I still can't tell!🤔
Wow this is indeed a rare find. A live Stealers Wheel clip with Luther on Lead Guitar. Thank you - do you have any more?
Live video. Obviously not live audio.
Blkojo said it. This isn't a live performance you're hearing.

I was 20 in 1973 I'm now seventy, shit, what happened, I'm a pensioner? HELP!
MARVIN NASH brought me here !!!
Hank Marvin, Graham Nash
Everytime I hear this song now all I can think about is the scene from " Reservoir Dogs". Classic
Always reminds me of a little wooden shack on the Calaveras River, no electricity, no running water, no car. Transistor radio hooked up to a six volt battery would last six months or so; had a couple fast, flashy, loyal, get you there and back in style horses, a Morgan/Arab, and a Arab/Thoroughbred. Both endurance racers. First heard this song on that old radio while reading under a kerosene lamp and listening to KZAP out of Sacramento.
That's all I think of when I hear this. Great movie.
I remember when CDs first came out I went crazy trying to find "baker street" and it cost me over 40 bucks cause it was made in Japan. But well worth it
Belle chansons
You can see David Kleinfeld (Carlito Brigante's lawyer) kicking it with some gals at the very end of the video
Dylanesque song, I think Bob should like this song.
Gerry Rafferty!
NEEDS MORE COW BELL
Loved it’s use in reservoir dogs. Great tune.
"it is" use?
HAIRY.
Needs more cow bell!
so did they never let you hear the songs actually be performed live back then then? coz this is the studio track like it is in every "live" video
Gerry Rafferty could do no wrong.

Thanks for posting! Why didn’t you just let the live version play, rather than playing the recorded version? Was it not good enough? Great song, though, which I liked then and still like!
Guitar or drums?
Garry Rafferty left shortly after and really never performed with S W very rare
Is dat Barend Servet op het einde?

lol syncing the record version is cheating
Good video, the audio must have gone to the toilet. Darned if that doesn't sound like the studio recording. Nice try but I digress.
Oh=k i forgive you, i didnt resd it...fascinating...
Obviously, the STUDIO version. Sheesh.
Another resynced vid BUT...ok...of its time abd concert footage,,.prefer live real..
Not live, it's the fckn record.
He struggled and didn't enjoy performing
Ah c'mon, really....🤨
Wonderful number but look at the soulless audience, not a rhythmic reaction from any of them... must be soul destroying for the band.
The instant this song started, it was beyond obvious that it wasn't live; it's the studio recording. Not worth watching.
Hairy 🙄
This is not live :-((
This is entirely my own opinion. Jake Gyllenhaal in I think it was Jarhead said, "Why can't we have our own music" when someone was playing Vietnam era music in camp. My first thought was, because your music sucks and rock and roll defined a nation and a war. I'm sure it's just because I grew up listening to R&R and went through the emotional imprinting that it caused during a very tumultuous era, but I see an awful lot of Gen Zers and A's choosing 60's, 70s music to current music so maybe it's not just my opinion, maybe it is better. There's some stuff in the 80's I liked and 90's as well but nothing in the last 5 years so so has caught my attention.
night owl
nice song but not a live consert here. Fake.
Very much influenced by Bob Dylan.
shame its an over dub.way to write a song to someone
