The angels name is Abraxas, this mv is based on the book Damian by H. Hess. There are Nietzsche (ian) references, and also based on the Psychiatrist Carl Jungs teaching.
The book is Demian by Hermann Hesse. "The God's name is Abraxas". But here we have allusion to the story line of the BU (Bangtan Universe) like V with the Wings. It is about growing up and leaving the protection of our parents without guidance by Religion or a Ruler. Of accepting both light and dark as part of life. That can be very painful. Personally I think the lyrics of the song are more of a toxic relationship with others that we are afraid to change (parents, friends but a also a lover). So we give into that temptation. A story my mother told me: when she was young there was an epedemic in her city. She didn't know because her parents protected her from that knowledge. Her cousin... well.. in a way... but she walked everyday on her way to school by a station where they brought the dead so she did know while my mother didn't. 💜
BS&T!! It’s probably on my top 5 BTS songs list. This is one of the few most complex pieces of art that BTS have created. It’s from Wings era (it’s way before Black Swan, Black Swan is from the Map of the Soul era), which is heavily inspired by classical art, writers and thinkers. I’d say main source for BS&T is novel Demian by Hermann Hesse. Also Nietzche’s quote written in German that you can see in the MV at 5:45. I am currently analyzing Wings era and writing an essay about it for a book that will be focused on these influences, taking more academic perspective :)

Hello MOMO. Greeting from half old guy in S.Korea. They sing "많이~ 많이~ 많이~~" which pronounced like "Money~ Money~ Money~~" "많이" actually means " a lot" or "a lot than this". But they reapeat "많이" 3 times. so it's original meaning transformed to "more and more" and thanks for liking BTS, Though they are good singer, dancer, producer but, What i apreciate is IMHO, they are real life genuine figure. who can be hurt, be sad, be hyped, be disappointed, be silly, mostly goofy in there whole career.
Let me be straight forward with you BTS MV’s usually pack a punch. They have what is called a BTS universe storyline that starts in the I Need U MV. There is a order to watch them in you can actually search up the order. But it’s a storyline that keeps you guessing and on your toes. I LOVE this song & video! From my understanding, the meaning behind it is pretty deep. At the beginning in the museum, Jin stares @ a painting, and there are 2 doors ~ one black (evil) and one white (good) on each side of the painting. The song is about those years between youth and adulthood where we learn about life, try new (sometimes not good for us) things, and lose our innocence. V plays the Angel who has lost his wings and is tempting Jin to “give in” to his temptations, whatever bad vice that might be. It’s along the lines of learning about good vs evil, and trying and/or failing at choices we all make in life. Jin caves, and kisses the statue, meaning he did something bad or sinned. That’s what V wanted him to do all along. The dinner scene at the table is supposed to represent the Last Supper from the Bible (or at least that’s what I read in many You Tube comments over the last year). Jin’s face cracks at the end because he is no longer innocent. The overall concept for the video came from a book by an author with the last name of Hess, I think. I’m sure other BTS fans can give even more info…. So glad you enjoyed it. The dance practice video for this one is so good ~ you can really see the choreo and how high they can jump. JK’s move where he does a handstand and subsequently lowers his body to the ground is nothing short of incredible. I think V is in the middle, and the other 6 are circling him, and they all make the same handstand move. But JK is so strong that he is the last one to touch the ground because his upper body strength can lower him so slowly. It’s crazy good… Great reaction! Looking forward to more BTS from you…💜

Their hand gestures of covering ears, eyes and mouth suggests hear/see/speak no evil. The statue he kisses and the member who appears to be missing his wings embodies that of a fallen angel who has chosen the path of evilness and temptation despite knowing the pitfalls that choice will bring him.

A lot of people told you that this video is linked to the BTS Universe (BU) and I suggest you do NOT start watching those videos until you can recognize the boys by looks and name, because it is VERY complicated and if you start mixing up who is who you will be lost. Also, I love explanation videos, but this one in particular will greatly ruin the fun of discovering the BU for yourself, save this explanation for later. I've always found the best way of discovering BTS is to watch their videos in release order, they have an official playlist, it is under their record label HYBE LABELS. 💜
there are different ways to interpret this video! I see Tae(V) as the tempter in this video. Tae's solo shots in this video are a lot different than the others, when you look at them one-by-one. He is the one under the shawl, and later revealed to have had wings that are now gone. He is the one that covered Jin's eyes and revealed the statue. And his grin too.
