Fantastic video guys. All you people working on that project must have been so proud to finally travel officially on the canal. You joy and excitement really shone through.
Great to see the canal boat pass through Stroud spent many a happy day fishing the canal at Brimscombe port went to school at the Polly tec in the fifties now live in Australia but have made any trips back to England and the golden valley glad to see they are progressing with the connection to the Gloucester Sharpness canal this will open it up to the canal network
@@robertpagetfilms it is great what you and volunteers have achieved over the years for boats To go from the Gloucester Sharpness canal to the the Thames at lechlade will be a grate achievement I wish I could sit at tunnel house and watch the first boat to come out of sapperton tunnel I admire all the work that you and all the volunteers have achieved though the tunnel will be the biggest challenge keep putting your progress on utube I enjoy following your progress Graham P Doré
How wonderful, they don't know how lucky they are in the Cotswolds, here in Cornwall the landowners outlook is another housing estate the Government are hell bent on building you're outlook is a canel,I know what I would prefer .
Did you manage to overcome the Landowners objections and the guy who filled in the canal to enlarge his Garden, I do so hate to see old infrastructure demolished it's so short sited especial when you consider the incredible feats of engineering and physical efforts it took to build them in the first place
