  • Amouddou's tour continues throughout the village of 'Amassine', to reach places, considered important and interesting in the history of the village.
In this episode, Mr Omar, one of the residents of the village, takes us to the 'Al-Mallah' neighbourhood, to see the houses that were inhabited by Jews. And also to their temple, which was the meeting place of their notables and a spot designated for their prayers.
After that, we will visit the Zawiya of 'Ou-Thaddout' and its library, which is neglected, after it was the destination of everyone desiring to satisfy his intellectual appetite.
Finally, we end our tour by entering an impenetrable fortress, built in the village in the nineteenth century, to serve as a watchtower, a storehouse for crops and valuables, as well as a place where sessions are held, to consider issues of the residents and resolve their disputes.
'Amassine', like all the ancient 'Atlas' villages, embodies an ancient civilized history and an original architectural character that must be revived and preserved.
Is there any initiative that will restore hope to its landmarks?
