Emphasis on the "everything". More shots = More better :D Voltshot is a great option, but having used both and being that I play Arc Titan and can jolt with my grenade I definitely prefer Deconstruct, especially when I can generate a ton of Ionic Traces for free.

You get a double energy orb on top of the one you'll get from the kill for about 67% of the invested time in damaging an enemy since the tremors count as hits. You're essentially getting double the super generation per kill: the energy generated on invested damage on the enemy, the orb that spawns from the enemy after taking damage, and the orb that will spawn from any multikills or reaper kill. It's essentially what Thresh wanted to be but just better because it synergizes with orb of power mods and artifact mods (the only downside being it doesn't go straight into your super bar because you have to pick them up).

I have an impulse amplifier/deconstruct roll with a velocity MW. Love it! Also have impulse/voltshot, LFG/Adagio and a Impulse/permabilty roll I use for an all strand build once in a while. Other good deconstruct weapons are edge transit with envious assassin and sticky grenades. Ros Arago IV with both deconstruct and rewind rounds can shoot forever. Tusk of the boar is also great with deconstruct. A very underrated perk overall.
Deconstruct is going to be much less useful when Final Shape launches since Bungie put out their TWID. It will no longer grant ammo, instead pulling from reserves. You're gonna want either Voltshot, Adagio, or Surrounded in that column instead with probably Lead From Gold

Permability is a great perk if you are running strand this season with the artifact mods, and if/when they finally release a strand rocket sidearm it will be great :)
I have no doubt it is good on the right builds, but I also talked about the perk knowing that there were Solar and Strand versions of this archetype coming in TFS. I probably should have mentioned that. Good call out.

I farmed fiorever to get my Permeability roll that I got insanely lucky on becasuse it came with Beacon Rounds too. If you run Strand, Permeability is the best roll imo because it makes tangles really easily, and if you're running the kinetic exotic like final warning, there aren't many energy options to run. None are remotely close to the strength of Indebted. Also, Impulse Amplifier feels unneeded with Beacon. You basically keep 3x stacks and every shot tracks and hits enemies. It's really nice to just hip fire care free and land every shot. Give it a shot! Also, good vid! :)
Great breakdown of why this gun is so good. And I finally understand how Deconstruct works now! One small criticism: your way of speaking is good, but I think the video could be edited down a little. I kept finding myself playing at 2x speed to get to the important info.
I have a tac mag/lead from gold/volt shot - I would love to have decon or adagio since I wasn’t utilizing volt shot as much. The champ stun capability is nice tho. Lead from Gold is better imo since you can put on heavy finder mods and this sidearm actually functions like a primary in building towards a heavy ammo drop. So think of lead from gold letting you spam heavy more often. I use a recon/expl.light Crux and I can spam rockets because there are sooo many heavy bricks on the ground. EDIT: RNG smiled on me and I got both a LfG/Decon and a LfG/Adagio :)
@@cfcbailey7583if you run a heavy ammo finder and a special ammo finder (still lets you run a harmonic siphon and 3 energy cost stat mod) you'll have tons of ammo from special bricks and just in case having the bonus heavy ammo drop helps both your heavy weapon and your sidearm get more ammo
@@cfcbailey7583if you’re using this gun correctly (double specials) you can only get heavy ammo phases as opposed to either heavy or special ammo phases. That means on average, with a double special build, you will get more normal heavy drops. Alongside that, even though this gun is a special, it for some reason gives higher progress toward ammo finder mods than other special weapons. Essentially, you just need 27 kills and you’ll get a guaranteed ammo drops. All that means way more heavy than average which means you can essentially have a reliable source of ammo all while using it as a primary weapon. After all specials are the best primaries.
My only complaint with the gun is how it sounds when it shoots, I dunno, sounds kinda weak and muffled for how powerful the weapon is, hope the new newer one we're gonna get on tfs sound better.
Bit late to the party huh. The special sidearms are great. Hit like a truck and have good ammo economy. Great for when anti barrier sidearms is on artifacts like this season. It can fulfill so many roles surprised it took you this long to start using it

I disagree. Shotguns have the highest special dps in the game. Add onto that melee based damage perks that almost double your damage output, and shotguns just get even better. People just don’t use them because they have a higher skill floor in pve.

Kinetic tremors is shit on a hand cannon. It takes 6 shots to activate kinetic tremors on a hand cannon.

That seems like over kill on velocity. You only need 65 base velocity if you are using impulse amplified

I got w roll with loose change and deconstruct works well when i just do anything sundering even works with stasis so its a handy weapon

I’ve rarely lost ammo but it’s extremely easy for ammo to drop. I have one with Voltshot its a pretty heavy hitter too.
