Your use of a drone is great. Much easier to understand what is being switched!!!!!!! Good Job

Talked to the crew... they were grumpy because management was grumpy with them. Upper management didn't want them to use the crap Genset until the spray paint was cleaned off. It was cleaned off and then caught fire - total loss. Which according to them was a bonus. Oh... and apparently they just received grant money to re-ballast/tie this section.

Awesome! I didn't think the railroads could get away with that anymore. Kind of like a Dutch drop, it's a forbidden & lost art.

Most operations still permit this move. Nothing really dangerous about it. But yes, there is an art to do a 'flying drop' or multiple kicks. I lived with it my entire career. It's like the art of getting on and off moving equipment. Young crews on many operations do not know how to do it properly and safety but with a bit of flair.

Thank you so much for this video! My granddaughter and I often watch the RJ Corman crew switching cars here, and it was very cool to get to see it from the air! And also to see them switching up at Frito Lay which we don't have access to.

Drone shots make it appear like an extremely well-done model railroad. 👍

A dutch drop of four cars. Beats my usual three car one I did years ago on the "Pike". As always great work. Be safe out there.

Went to college here for 2 years, walked around this stretch of track several times but never once saw a train. The Wooster to Lodi branch was washed out in the 1969 July 4th Flood and never rebuilt. The whole ROW flooded because it was basically a cutout through to Lodi.
Thanks for the video Scott. Makes me miss walking around there.

nice video!! RJ just bought our local short line here in Wilkes-Barre Pa. and are already fixing up the tracks!!

Quite the operation and when a line is partially abandoned by 1928 that's a checkered history. The Wye inside the fairgrounds is bizarre and using the spur to reverse cars is great. Those poor Gensets were one of Cormans few failures. I think one is "stuffed and mounted" somewhere on line as a display. As always great coverage

That’s a nice video. I’ve seen them working in Wooster several times, but never saw them with more than a couple of cars. Enjoyed the aerial shot too, always wanted to see what it looked when they go up to frito lay. Happy thanksgiving

There's a bit of a lean on the engine & cars as they make that curve. Good switching action.

The wye track that runs behind the fairgrounds used to serve Carter Lumber on SR 302 and the Buehler's warehouse on Old Mansfield Road. The portion that crossed Old Mansfield Road was idled sometime in the '80s or '90s and officially abandoned (crossing completely torn out) in the 2000s. The crossing on SR 302 is still in place (with warning signs and crossbucks), but the flanges have been filled in with blacktop, which tells me that this crossing will more than likely never see a single RJ Corman freight train pass over it.

As always Scott, one fine video. I noticed that further down in the comments that someone says, copycat. Fear, not your work stands out compared to most.
It does piss me off though that some punk has tagged these engines. Keep up the good work, and thank you.

Love that genset locomotive. As for the rail bed flexing, that is some scary stuff right there. Can't say I've ever seen a rail deflect like that before and I have to wonder what keeps them from collapsing or rolling over on themselves?

I think this operation is trying to give the ND&W (Napoleon, Defiance & Western.........A Pionerr Railcorp. line) a run for title of worst track still in daily use.

With the correct lighting and at that above intro scene it would be very easy to confuse this with a model railway
