I just picked one up for $80 CDN in mint condition. It is my first keyboard, and I think it is great! No doubt I will want to upgrade some day, but so far, this thing is awesome. It is an excellent keyboard for the right price.
Lol! Oh man, this was a fun one! I have several of these keyboards including the 3200! Fleamarket specials from My trip to FLA USA last year! I will enjoy these once I have my studio setup for sure
It might be better to record yourself on something like a phone and then plug into the keyboard, not sure. I've just gotten one of these second hand and I'm excited to play around with it, just haven't had the time yet
Yeah I wouldn’t recommend ever using the built in speakers. Plug it into some proper speakers/receiver/amp. For the price it’s very good considering it has velocity. I use it as a midi keyboard mostly but appreciate the piano and organ sounds (as well as a few others) sent through reverb and/or stereo delay.
The last vintage keyboard I bought based on one of your demos of it was the Casio ToneBank CTK-670. Got two, one is fine, but the other has the audio fizzle out after every note or chord keyed. Keep the vintage synth demos coming though cause there are some unknown gems out there. Nice unit, but I'll pass on this one.
Me too. I organized a music gear swap meet last weekend and my daughter spent the day with me. She set this up on stage and played a few piano songs. It sounded just as bland through the PA as it does in this demo!
i have one of those AHL keyboards with similar sounds. the preset sounds are unintentionally strange. actually I think the sampling feature is the normal part.
Quite cheap on Fleabay at the moment, but not for me I prefer the older 'grittier' (or cheesier) stuff mangled through a load of old pedals etc, at least you saved me some money with this! :-D

Honestly that rave sound would be adequate for a pretty crazy build up and drop even today! Just add Trap beat lol

Do you know if you can plug a (basic) microphone into the sampling input jack, and sample directly from the microphone?
You can, but it helps to talk really loud into the mic.

Yes, 100 times better through external speakers.

How do i select two sounds at once. Like Grand piano & warm pad? I want to combine sounds when i play like a layer. There is no layer botton ☹️
Is there an “dual” button? Might have to check the manual about this.
How many samples can you record in it.
So a poster said you can just hold a mike and get the sample via that, you are using some kind of device though? What is it?
Yes you can sample anything that you can input into the aux socket. I used a Korg kaossilator but you can use a mic, your stereo, anything really.
how can I load samples from my computer? can I loop on this device? I have one but I don't know how to use this.
Dude I have this keyboard I think
Which one is better?
CTK3200
Ctk 1100
Ctk 1150
Ct-S200bk
CA-301
Ct-S100
I found all of these on a second hand platform but Idk which one is better
None of them are very good, but I’d choose the ctk3200 because I’m pretty sure it does sampling
Sounds good where can I buy it
It’s an old model, you’ll need to try second hand like eBay etc
Is this CASIO’s close rival to the Yamaha DJX? I bet it is…
Hmmm I see the similarities, but it would lose that battle pretty comprehensively :)
Sounds like an old Yamaha
I guess they were in a similar league :)
How to on display light
It doesn't have a backlit screen
