LMAO where is the most exciting place you have had your thing I seriously spit my drink all over my screen thanks
Did she ask "where's the most interesting place you've had your thing?"
yeah caught that, and would have had an immediate comeback, lol. "in your "_______"" fill in the blank.
The innuendo is off the charts! Lol
Don't you just love the tension on that belt on that tiny engine! Lol
Definitely a weird car.
"What's like the most exciting place you've had your thing?"............ROFL
Check out the gas powered heater.... As he points to the expansion tank and the camera person actually zooms in on it! Tell me you didnt just google what little y'all know about it.
The legend that was Mick 'Ratty' Durbin. RIP my friend.
Oh geez, I knew I walked right in the middle of you guys filming. You can see me at 1:14 or so. Dang.
Your closing statement describing your dream thing really excites me . Must be some way we can have two made up but i want a 2.5 subie
I had a '73, the gas heater would work fine for about 20 minutes, then the fuse would blow. No more heat until it cooled off and the fuse was replaced.........
Sacrilege. Exhaust should go through the bumpers and no, you couldn't "get" a larger motor in the Type 181's. 1600DP.
The gas fired heater runs off a electric fuel pump. You didn't need to start the vehicle for heat. The owners manual said it would burn a gallon of gas every 7 hours. The thing back in 1973 when brand new was very expensive to buy. A little over $3000.00 dollars where a VW beetle was only about $1900.00 dollars new then. Not everyone could afford it. 😢
They were a lot of fun. You didn't ever want to wreck one, but they were fun right up to that point.
Damn that woman really wanted to play with his thing.
Also, this thing is so clean. We gotta get this thing dirty. I like the way you think.
VW Kübelwagen it is alive in america!!!
what the most exciting place you've had your thing ? bahhahahaha I don't know how he kept a straight face lol
And his answer, everywhere he takes it out, people are amazed. It's just so funny looking.
5:56 ... Talk 'bout a smiling car !!!!
funny how at 2:33 he had to let us know that the new engine was a 1776 (SIZE) AS IF WE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT HE MEANT THAT WAS THE YEAR OF IT'S BUILD ? HEHEH
She cant keep her hands off your thing...
There is a VW graveyard full of parts in Moab. 😀
I LOVE IT
who is the hot blonde?
Finally, enough innuendo that I can rub one out.
You're not kidding nobody the only thing you rub one out to is an old 2016 dump campaign video😂😂
Didn't they cease importation into the US because the Things had a habit of turning turtle with little or no provocation?
Still a fun and funny vehicle.
I heard something about the doors falling off while people were driving them, not sure if that's true or not, but yes they only sold Things in the US in 1973 and 1974
Dan Troop They discontinued them because of the windshield being too close to the driver and front passenger. The car no longer complied with those rules. It was and is a fine vehicle. Funny looking little box but cool none the less.
@@onegreenev Just drive with the windshield down like the old roadsters.
i would to see her things please :)
Go RattyCrawlDaddy!! :)

In Uruguay , a VW distribuitor wanted to import them but for some reason VW din’t sent them so this dealer imported a single unit and made fiberglass molds , and he used engineers to do it , so they made it two doors , that way they would not infringe trademarks , because they were made of fiberglass , they didn’t rust, still a few running samples
