Those girls are either best friends or could be sisters too.. and the girl who has a boyfriend was going through a hard time cause the boy left her at the end no matter how hard she tried to work things out for both of them.. she would give her time, money, body and heart to keep him by her side... but the boy was never satisfied and left her anyways.. so the girl knew she would never be enough for him and made her mind up to never let him in again and keep forcing herself that she's over him, which she's absolutely not.. tell herself that the tears she has shed for him already washed off her memories she had for him.. but the heart wants what it wants.. so... even though her mind knew that their relationship was toxic, she couldn't just move on cause she loved him too much.. and in the meantime the boy realised his mistakes and apologise to her for all he has done her wrong, tell her that he wants her back.. but the girl knew it isn't right and doesn't see a future left for them after all the hurts.. so she tried to balanced what her mind and her feelings/emotions tells her.. sadly she developed schizophrenia/cognitive along the way.. started to live in her own world where things fall perfectly and everything was beautiful, where her boyfriend loved her back dearly just the way she wanted.. because that's the only way she could escape from the reality that was ugly and was too much for her to carry..
in the MV the two girls decided to meet up, which they did at the beginning of the video.. so the story continues as the other friend watches her friend going through schizophrenia(a person who sees imaginary things or live in their own imagination)... the friend unpacked her friend's package/trolley and found out the photo of her friend and her boyfriend inside the trolley.. and clearly understands that her friend was not over her boyfriend yet.. so she sympathies and open her arm wide open for her friend to fall right into it whenever she wanted to..
btw the boyfriend character which we saw on the video was just how the girl wants her relationship to be(her imagination)... but in real it was never close to that, instead it was the complete opposite where the boyfriend wants only her time money and body.. (according to the lyrics😀)

the plot (on how i understand it) : the girl had a lover whom she was so intrigued with, but he either left her or he's deceased. she is so traumatized by either the breakup or the loss that she cant get over it. she is still haunted every single day by their memories together. she often reminisce and went back to the places they spent together and sometimes she even still feel his presence to the point she becomes almost mentally disturbed. her sister(Annabelle) stayed loyally by her side trying to soothe her pain..patiently..always there for her(tluangi). ☺️
