Additions and Corrections: Okizeme ender for combos: Finish combo by dashing in and b, f, 2 3 to CDS / CD cancel. You do have to sacrifice quite a bit of damage for this, but a good way to keep momentum after a combo. Best to avoid the EWHF combos that end in db+2,2,3 unless you're on a walless stage. The best balance between ease of use, damage and wall carry is EWHF, ff, bf21, bf2, b3~f1, 2. Thanks to DamageXcaling for this. Some good advice for resplats from DamageXcaling: "To resplat consistently out of ff2 at the wall, you need to hit ff2 with tip of the range, the closer you are from the opponent the less likely you will be in optimal range to resplat them with d+3+4, so its kinda situational and its an option you would go for mostly when you're coming to lock them at the wall. If You are too close however, use SS into 3,1 to take them off of the wall and combo them into the wall again for a more damaging combo, this is more likely and common to happen because after a wall combo ender ppl avoid waking up straight due his oki options being way stronger this way, the fastest and safe way to avoid is by rolling over to each side on knockdown to avoid certain options, but this will still force a 50-50 because they have to guess its either mid or Low, if they guess by crouch blocking and then get splatted by a mid option, then SS into 3, 1 becomes a force to be reckon with since it becomes easier to land due the angled position and it works even better on octangular stages. Only when you hit ppl straight up without angles is when you don't want to try resplat techniques unless of course you're in position to try option 1." CDS 3 / WS+3 are also Screw Moves. Thanks to Lovelain for pointing this out.
Great video like always!! You are the best Tekken channel imo! Would you please consider making a video for King? I know you're not planning to, but I'm still asking :3
Thank you! Before doing another in depth 5-part breakdown, we're releasing a series of shorter 10 min tutorials that cover the fundamentals and will allow players to quickly jump in and use their favourite character. King will be included in that :)
OMG this is the best tekken tutorial on youtube! Im just getting into him because ive just figured out ewgf with devil jin and wanted to add all the ewgf characters to my resume. This guide is a godsend.
These Jin videos have been so well produced and the lessons are well organized IMO. I know its a lot of work, but I look forward to more tutorials with a similar format for other characters. Good Work!
I just started playing Tekken again and your instructional videos have been the most helpful and easy to understand out of all the video i have seen. Please keep putting videos up on Tekken. I have subscribed hoping for more content like this.
I love the insight in this vid. Especially the lack of range on some of his punishers as well as alternative punishers to make up for his optimal ones being out of range. 1+2 is an i12 mid wallsplat, which makes it faster than d/f+1,4 but it's -14 on block. A really good and consistent wall combo on bears is b,f+2,3f, CDS3.
You missed CDS 3 / WS+3 when listing his screw moves at the end there, but other than that I'm impressed, this has been a very well made and informative series.
Great video, also good combo for okizeme at the wall is db2, 3, it has the backflip animation, and for kuma, the combo i recommend is 3,1, 1,3,2,1,4 And for rage drive combos, you can get more damage on open ground by doing it before screw, not finishing the rage drive, and screwing after the first 2 (joined) hits
@That Blasted Salami Your first combo example at 16:16 that is actually not optimal. you can do a regular 3 then b3f1 4 fff (you have to run) b3f12. it gets you 2 more damage. you just have to full stride run and get really deep before the b3f12. It works on any launcher ie can cans, ws2, cd1 (electric or not). I never see any videos point this optimization out, they always go b3 b3f1.
Thanks a lot for these videos, hopped online after going through them an i already feel like i can play a semi decent jin even though i kinda suck at the game.
Just contributing to the wall splat game: To resplat consistently out of ff2 at the wall, you need to hit ff2 with tip of the range, the closer you are from the opponent the less likely you will be in optimal range to resplat them with d+3+4, so its kinda situational and its an option you would go for mostly when you're coming to lock them at the wall. bro your video is best like always Hats off and hands down for that but you didn't talk about 100$ combo. i know you wanted to keep things simple but cmon should have done like honorable mention lol (crap idea) man people would get more insight about this combo and it'll bring mental awareness, more control over their rush state and will teach them to perfect their inputs(what really is important for Jin players) i think you should try if you haven't or should make a mini tutorial about this combo. and that generic kick is called delayed hop kick. I really wanted to help you guys but i have no bank card or any other donating option I'm Sorry for that. but i do share your videos and if people ask for recommendations i tell them to watch hell no i give them links to your videos... Thank you for your brilliant work TEKKEN and it's community.
Cheers man! I really appreciate all the support you give us. Getting the word out there is very helpful, so thank you :) Yes I think not mentioning the microdash combos at all was an omission and I will add some to the "full breakdown" video. I don't usually recommend attempting them, but that should be up to the player.
You guys did a tremendous work with this latest video, but i also think not covering microdash combos and decide it was impractical pretty much killed a bigger aspect of Jin in general (he needs wall splatting bnbs) For example, having b3~f1,2 ender is a big deal for Jin specially because it gets the wallsplat which he then uses for additional damage, you guys left this out of the guide and that's pretty much a big deal. Surely you can choose to ignore microdash combo like his 100$ combo and the discount version, thats optional and its up to any Jin own criteria of execution, however jin still has at the very least 2 wall splatting combos off EWHF that anyone can do it and anyone not up to learn high end damaging combos should have those under their pocked because regarless you will going to need them, and you don't need to microdash, even if the max damage is kinda small, in the end it makes a huge difference compared to ending combos with bd223 midscreen, because you will get the additional 80+ damage vs choosing not to learn them and setting from db223 midscreen which will never go beyond 60+ unless CH and rage midscreen and its impossible to do wall damage if you get to splat. So EWHF bf21, bf2, b3~f1, 2 and EWHF run 3,1 bf2, b3~f1,2 are much easier combos and are hard to drop, don't do as much damage as the microdash versions but will get the wallsplat near any wall and get that additional damage Jin desperately needs despite the small wall carry in comparison to his other wall splatting combos. So you guys have an idea, Orange a very high skill and respectful Jin player from Korea doesn't do high end damaging EWHF combos, and he has the easiest EWHF combo under his pocket and still get a wall splat off them, while CBM which is considered a Jin Scientist among the jin players who can land 100$ on daily basis and you can count them in one hand for each country.
Thank you so much for this invaluable feedback man! I'll be adding EWHF bf21, bf2, b3~f1, 2 and EWHF run 3,1 bf2, b3~f1,2 to the complete breakdown vid, and will make a mention of microdash combos for players who feel they're up to the task.
Thank for all of the in depth info even tho im not a Jin main this is really entertaining and also, when you are done with Jin who will you make a breakdown about?
im glad that you didn't include the $100 combo in here. 70 damage but not worth a couple points of damage for the amount of times one can wiff the combo
The Microdash is extremely difficult, definitely not recomendable if one is not willing to tap into the character technical aspects. Even in Asia you can count in both hands which Jin players use microdash combos, and even among them there are ones that choose not to use it.
You missed out a high damage output CD+4 combo b~f2,3~f3 dash 3,1~f2 (I rarely ever type out combos so forgive me if it was wrong) Notes: -You have to perform the back forward 2,3 after hellsweep immediately or else you may whiff (but it becomes easy to do with enough practice ofc) -You must do a deep dash or else the 3 won’t connect either -To perform the 3, just let go of the dash to get into the neutral stance and press 3 or else you will perform a fff+3
Sooo.. at wall game you're basically saying, "After 3,1 b2,1, if the opponent blocks ff3, you get a free db2,2,3 and the b2,1 again"? XD {I mean Jin DID got buffed in Tk7:FR so yeah anything is possible with a buffed character XD}
I'll try ff4 then {I'm not really good at analyzing moves , i understand them but don't know how to calculate them XD, How did i even get to Mighty Ruler?!}
I main Jin and I want to get really good with him since I know he's an extremely versatile character but the main issue I have is consistently executing ewhf consistently on pad and then moving my fingers fast enough to do all the other stuff
My favourite combo from the EWHF EWGF; deep dash; 3,1; bf2; b3~f; CDS 1,2 If i remember correctly, the combo does about 67 dmg? That still is something!
great tutorial, really need to learn a lot with jin, he's been my favorite character since 3 but never really took the time to learn him ever but now i really want to learn him so thank you for the helpful tutorial. also is it possible to see a future xaioyu tutorial, i have a lot of fun with her but would really love to learn her
A W You are doing the second b+3 too late then. But... are you sure that you are doing a b+3 transitioning to cds? You can't wait to confirm the second b+3 (that was my error when I asked the question) you have to do it directly or the b+3 won't connect
Will do Bryan after Steve, Dragunov and Yoshi. For now please check the written guide: docs.google.com/document/d/1_s_0xiNer5V3zuaHjezHn7PPSH2ccktwSMCqXJtkO18/edit
Unfortunately between making these videos and work I haven't had much time. I believe this vid was the last time I played ranked. Though my schedule will be quite different from September, so more time for streaming :)
Do certain combos only work on certain character body types? I can reliably start a combo from ch db4 by using 3.1 into CDS as a pickup tool on normal sized characters and yet on Gigas and Jack it always misses.
As a jin main. I really appreciate these. Helpful and very informative. My bad match ups are law asuka and Paul. I play on Xbox one and learning that right is not in jins favor. I want to get more into online and what does cds mean? Apologizes if I bother you.
No bother! CDS means crouching demon stance. I recommend watching the complete breakdown which combines every part of this guide into 1 video: th-cam.com/video/zU1tD6Wcy14/w-d-xo.html
We will be doing a 10 min "essentials only" tutorial on Law soon. For now I highly recommend PepperBeef2Spicy's channel: th-cam.com/video/_4k_87I_L0U/w-d-xo.html
Yes we're planning to cover all the characters in this format. This will take a while, possibly 2-3 years, so we're going to start a series of shorter 10 min tutorials first that covers all the essentials you need to jump in and start playing your favourite character.
Steve is the next in depth 5-part breakdown, but before that we'll be covering a bunch of characters with some shorter tutorials that cover the essentials.
He doesnt have trex arm its just because he is stands orthadox hes straight cross is going to be shorter sense he's right side is back some Im pretty sure you knew that though.
You have to hit the df and 2 at the same time. You have 4 frames of leniency with Jin. Takes some practice, but MainMan has a bunch of tutorials on how to do it properly.
Why bother side stepping 24 when you can just duck the 4, though? I guess if you got a good read it would work, but 10 frames is nothing easy to react to.
You answered your own question. It's impossible to simply react and punish a lot of moves in Tekken, so you need to make reads. Sidestep right beats quite a few of Jin's options, and 24 is simply one of them.
CDS / CD cancel was not designed for Tekkken's laggy netcode. These stance cancels don't work online because online play will never be lag free and stance cancels are just too precise for it, why modern fighters are phasing out hard execution inputs because of the problems and many unseen problems that come with them. I wonder will these stance cancels feature as heavy in Tekken 8???
Additions and Corrections:
Okizeme ender for combos: Finish combo by dashing in and b, f, 2 3 to CDS / CD cancel. You do have to sacrifice quite a bit of damage for this, but a good way to keep momentum after a combo.

Awesome video sir!! You got a sub
d+2 can also floor-break.
Best Jin guides on TH-cam. As a crappy Jin main, I highly appreciate your Jin breakdown videos. Looking forward to Part V.
Thanks man! Glad to hear they're helping you out.

Cheers! Will add that in the complete breakdown vid.
Amazing guide, one of the best video on Tekken I have seen, thanks!
these videos are excellently made, and deserve way more views.
Thank you! Our channel is slowly but surely gaining an audience.
Best Jin guide eva!!!!!! Thanks man!!! Tus guías son de lo mejor. Gracias maestro.
I felt the T-rex's arm !! I was wondering if he has a better punisher I guess still T-rex's arm.
Thanks Salami senpai
Good work kohai! Keep it up :)

Awesome feedback as ever, thank you! I'll add this information to the compilation video.
The T. rex sound bite was gold
That T-Rex Arm's and Godzilla Scream had me dying :D
Honestly, with this series, I just might main Jin when I get the game, even though I only own games from when he was a Mishima
He's very fun in T7. Well rounded and has everything you need. Good to understand the fundamentals with, but there is a bit of an execution barrier.
NEVER CLICKED A VIDEO SO FAST
Great tutorial as usual ! Thanks a lot !
Thanks man!
Thanks for the tip, I will train more harder now
Good to hear man!
Really nice guide ! Keep this up !

looking forward to yoshi :) Keep it up!
this is gold, you're a god!
Thank you very much sir!
Great video as always man ! :)
Thanks buddy :)
OMG the tekken devil within soundtrack 😍😍😍
Glad you're liking the music :)
im glad that you didn't include the $100 combo in here. 70 damage but not worth a couple points of damage for the amount of times one can wiff the combo
Yeah, the focus is on practicality with the combo section. Not listing anything you shouldn't consider doing in a real match.
The Microdash is extremely difficult, definitely not recomendable if one is not willing to tap into the character technical aspects. Even in Asia you can count in both hands which Jin players use microdash combos, and even among them there are ones that choose not to use it.
CherryBerryMango never misses his micro dash combos. its sick
oh trust me he does
DamageXcaling he has missed them but he hits them plenty more consistent than anyone else I've seen in a tournament setting.
You missed out a high damage output CD+4 combo
b~f2,3~f3 dash 3,1~f2
(I rarely ever type out combos so forgive me if it was wrong)
Notes:
-You have to perform the back forward 2,3 after hellsweep immediately or else you may whiff (but it becomes easy to do with enough practice ofc)
-You must do a deep dash or else the 3 won’t connect either
-To perform the 3, just let go of the dash to get into the neutral stance and press 3 or else you will perform a fff+3
nice video man
Cheers man!
You help me alot
appreciate it man . thanks
Thx for the tips m8 now gonna go rekt online and push to Raijin. YEHETUO!
Sooo.. at wall game you're basically saying, "After 3,1 b2,1, if the opponent blocks ff3, you get a free db2,2,3 and the b2,1 again"? XD
{I mean Jin DID got buffed in Tk7:FR so yeah anything is possible with a buffed character XD}
"Stupid T-Rex arms" XD
No if the opponent blocks ff+3 you just have a +1 advantage. I don't think I even mentioned ff3? It's not a great okizeme tool at the wall.
You mentioned it once or did i get confused? now that you mentioned it, is it 3 or 4?
I'm so braindead XD
I'll try ff4 then
{I'm not really good at analyzing moves , i understand them but don't know how to calculate them XD, How did i even get to Mighty Ruler?!}
Could you make one for Steve fox for the wall game. I have so much issues with that section
I main Jin and I want to get really good with him since I know he's an extremely versatile character but the main issue I have is consistently executing ewhf consistently on pad and then moving my fingers fast enough to do all the other stuff
i have a hard time consistently doing it too.
My favourite combo from the EWHF
EWGF; deep dash; 3,1; bf2; b3~f; CDS 1,2 If i remember correctly, the combo does about 67 dmg? That still is something!
great tutorial, really need to learn a lot with jin, he's been my favorite character since 3 but never really took the time to learn him ever but now i really want to learn him so thank you for the helpful tutorial. also is it possible to see a future xaioyu tutorial, i have a lot of fun with her but would really love to learn her
awesome video man! any plans for doing this to another characters?
Subscribed
Funfact: U/UF(hold),1 floorbreaks at the wall
hey bro your amazing teacher of tekken please make full tutorial of fung and kuma panda like you made a video jin
Thanks man. Feng and Kuma will come eventually!
This helped out alot
But cant you just mix up jin's 100 dollar combo?
I'm trying the first bread & butter combo and I can't connect the second back+3. Is there any secret to connect it?
You need to transition to CDS from the 2nd b+3 by tapping forward. That makes it 1 frame faster and changes the juggle properties.
Having the same problem, I can't hit the second b3, that's before the CDS transition. Does it still work?
A W Yes, it works. You can't do simply a second b+3, you have to do a b+3 transitioning to CDS.
Battora Ushiromiya thing is, the second b3 always misses
A W You are doing the second b+3 too late then. But... are you sure that you are doing a b+3 transitioning to cds? You can't wait to confirm the second b+3 (that was my error when I asked the question) you have to do it directly or the b+3 won't connect
plz make one for bryan ...
Will do Bryan after Steve, Dragunov and Yoshi. For now please check the written guide: docs.google.com/document/d/1_s_0xiNer5V3zuaHjezHn7PPSH2ccktwSMCqXJtkO18/edit
Can you share some of your online games? They must be fun to watch :) And what's your rank online?
Unfortunately between making these videos and work I haven't had much time. I believe this vid was the last time I played ranked. Though my schedule will be quite different from September, so more time for streaming :)
Why doesn't any high level player use cd+1 for launcher which is mid and wins against crouching block to avoid ewhf or cd+4?
Because it's unsafe on block. It's still a useful move for whiff punishing and hard reads, but you can't just throw it out.
Ohh... you're right I haven't done my frame data homework yet
Can you do a Lars guide and King guide please
Do certain combos only work on certain character body types? I can reliably start a combo from ch db4 by using 3.1 into CDS as a pickup tool on normal sized characters and yet on Gigas and Jack it always misses.

Let me know when you guys get to hwoarang.
can you do guide about hwo?
Do Law next!!
We will be doing a 10 min "essentials only" tutorial on Law soon. For now I highly recommend PepperBeef2Spicy's channel: th-cam.com/video/_4k_87I_L0U/w-d-xo.html
King guide next please.
I cant get the move step down to do that uppercut smh
Are you planning to do something like this with other characters?
Yes we're planning to cover all the characters in this format. This will take a while, possibly 2-3 years, so we're going to start a series of shorter 10 min tutorials first that covers all the essentials you need to jump in and start playing your favourite character.
So what character is next and why is it Lars?
Steve is the next in depth 5-part breakdown, but before that we'll be covering a bunch of characters with some shorter tutorials that cover the essentials.
That Blasted Salami STEVE HYPE
He doesnt have trex arm its just because he is stands orthadox hes straight cross is going to be shorter sense he's right side is back some Im pretty sure you knew that though.
Its very hard to do ewhf after you did the side step.
It takes practice. Fluid SSL / SSR and backdash to EWHF from both sides is something you should master with Mishimas to get the most out of them.
Kazuya please :)
We'll have a 10 minute tutorial covering the essentials for him soon!
That Blasted Salami thank you so much :D
What about hwoarang?
Write up in the works!
how do you ewhf? mine's just whf lol how? aint no electricity coming out bro😂
You have to hit the df and 2 at the same time. You have 4 frames of leniency with Jin. Takes some practice, but MainMan has a bunch of tutorials on how to do it properly.
That Blasted Salami Ok thank you!
Season 2 : d1 no longer high crushes
T rex arms I thought I was the only one that noticed this🤦🏾♂️😂😂
dragunov next :0
CDS / CD cancel was not designed for Tekkken's laggy netcode. These stance cancels don't work online because online play will never be lag free and stance cancels are just too precise for it, why modern fighters are phasing out hard execution inputs because of the problems and many unseen problems that come with them. I wonder will these stance cancels feature as heavy in Tekken 8???
I can’t hit the second b3 in his bread and butter combo?
You have to hold forward into 1 after the second b3
So cds 12 is hit confirmable? Cause i hit 1 pretty often and they always block my delayed 2
It is, but not at maximum delay. This will be easier on the PC version and with a lag-free monitor.
That Blasted Salami got it. Thanks man!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTIFUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Does jin only have one armour move? (3+4)?
Unfortunately yes. It's not really a big part of his game, but does have it's occasional uses.
Damn. I think his fwd 1+2 should have armour at least lol. Especially since he has t rex arms ;-;
It's only use is to long badass.
Where is part 5 i cant find it
Part 5 is in the Complete Breakdown, which also includes updates for parts 1 - 4
@@ThatBlastedSalami thanks
When are Lee?
We'll be doing a 10 minute breakdown on Lee soon, and an in depth written guide is in the works.
That Blasted Salami
Thanks! and good luck!
High damage jin
For some reason I can't hit the second b3
The 2nd b3 needs to be cancelled into CDS by tapping forward. For some reason that makes it 1 frame faster.
That Blasted Salami gotcha. I think I got it. Thanks sir!
Muito bom
Any jin player feel free to fight my Savior Jin on PS4 ;)
t rex arm problem hahaha
