    That hip reversal is wonderful.

    This is helpful as I have the habit to move that way in newaza, but often failed up until now to quickly resolve the sankaku into a reverse jime.

    Another question Matt, could you lay down some tips and tricks on flat belly opponents?

    Beautifull technique as usual Matt! But I believe this is called Yoko-sankaku-jime. You call it reverse since you go in the "reverse" direction when turning into the choke? Calling it a reverse-sankaku-jime (atleast in my head) refers to Gyaku- or Ushiro-sankaku-jime, which is completely different :)

    Some great ideas here. He's right when he says he sees so many guys give up and wait for ref to say mate. That was me. Until now! Lol

    If the guy is heavy I like to hook my another arm behind his knee and with another hand ill just grab from where I can for example from hand and then I just try to roll my opponent into yoko shiho gatame or so... U can also grab his belt and gi from his neck and then rise him and after that u can do many things for example sankaku jime or juji gatame or ude garami.. It's up to u..
    You didn't ask me, but I told what I like to do :D

    But this usually doesn't work against quick guys coz they tend to roll away when I start to grab them from theyr leg :D

      I bet it happened to anyone of us at some point. Embarassing? Yes. A good laugh and off to the next sankaku.

  • @MrMZaccone

    Yeah, the "bottom" leg goes under the "top" leg. Yeah, by definition, no kidding. Which is which and why? A little help here maybe?

    • @ingushjudoka6104

      watch the video and you will understand ;)

    • @MrMZaccone
      @MrMZaccone 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ingush Judoka Um, no. "top" and "bottom" have no reference to the opponent and are therefore not useful descriptions.

    Dude learn jiu jitsu if you wanna talk ground game! None of this shit would work on a bjj blue belt. Bjj guys are very attentive to where they are in relation to their arms and head... you MIGHT be able to catch this in a scramble, but not likely, Stick to throws etc... that’s what we look to judo for
