Pokemon Catch Combo Starters Trick

- This is a great trick I found out on creating a catch combo for the starter / 1% Pokemon.
The 1% Pokemon appear only one at a time and after a catch combo of 11 with any Pokemon. But if you start a catch combo with Pidgey for example, and try to move on in catching a Charmander (1% Pokemon) your catch combo will clear and its almost impossible to continue catching Charmanders.
You can actually use the Go Park to start your catch combo and then continue the combo after 11 out in the Pokemon wild! - เกม

So Do I just catch 31 combo Ekans then Charmander will spawn a lot more ? Then I can start catching charmanders back to back or do I get the 31 Ekans combo then run from every Charmander untill I see a shiny ?
You have to start the combo with the same Pokemon. And its 11 not 31 to start the combo. Again this is really only for the 1% Pokemon spawns like Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Dragonite, Porygon, Chancy and a few others.
WOW, ok so. You’re like the only one with a video going as far back as LGPE’s peak, that did the shiny hunting method in this game the way the devs intended!
The catch combo and the bonuses it gives to finding shiny Pokémon ONLY counts towards the next spawn of the species you’re hunting. The devs didn’t want us to just make it to a chain of 31 and then leave and re-enter the area to get a shiny; they made it so that once you get to a Catch Combo of 31, you’d have to KEEP catching the next Pokémon of the species (the very next Charmander that spawns) that you’re hunting. The improved odds do NOT affect any other species, so a catch combo of 31 on Charmander doesn’t affect other Pokémon that spawned to become shiny, or legendary Pokémon for that matter.
For example, once you caught the 31st Charmander, the next Charmander is the only one that gets the extra rolls for that 1/273 chance. If it doesn’t end up being shiny, you still have to catch another Charmander which would be the 32nd. After catching the 32nd the next Charmander that spawns would get those improved odds again. So finding and catch that Shiny Charmander as the 241st in your combo was the way the devs intended for this to go, despite how tedious that would be.
Any shiny that a player’s obtained by exiting and re-entering an area with a catch combo of only 31, is actually a full odds 1/4096 chance (or 1/1024 for those with the Shiny Charm). Isn’t that wild?! To think that even doing the method incorrectly to get shinies, that so many people STILL got so lucky to get that many shinies!
Nicely said. I actually had no idea that this was intentional by the devs. Well, the method (31 catch combo) is intentional but the way to get around the 1% spawn rates of some Pokemon, I'm not sure was intentional.
@@liquidraven right! Reaching that combo of 31 at the bare minimum is ideal. Yesterday I was catching Growlithe in LGP, trying to get a shiny one for my LGE playthrough, but I had to unfortunately break the combo around 160+, because a Shiny Porygon ended up spawning. Managed to catch it thankfully, but it’s just wild that the Shiny Growlithe that SHOULD have appeared around 1/273 never showed up, before the 1/1024 Porygon did. Still, managed to get a 5 IV Jolly Nature Growlithe for Let’s Go Eevee, and with several Growlithe candy to boot!
