1996 I stayed at VILLAGE INN Belgrade Lakes for 1 month while I was closing Bank Escrow for my new home in Waterville, Maine. I had a nice room in Summer facing the water but, sure was humid and hot. No Air. Maybe they had air in other rooms? Oh well. I was younger and tough US Army sergeant. Good ol days in Maine

I was born in Waterville, Maine 1954 and put in Orphanage at 10 days in Winslow. 1959 taken out to Santa Monica, California. and grew up attending schools there. 1968 Greyhound Bus takes me back to Waterville, Maine 3700 miles. 6 day trip. In New Mexico I will never forget asking the Bus driver about WHITES ONLY signs!!! He told me, Children should be seen and not heard'. fool. Made it to Maine and went to Waterville High. Meeting Mark Carter on Green street. Lots of history in Maine. 1972 US Army. 1996 I returned again to buy 3 CENTRAL AVENUE Waterville. $39,000. In 2023 I saw it now would sell for $160,000. Not bad Equity but, in California the prices went from $200,000 to $1,200,000. Better Equity. I'd rather live in MAINE though. I do miss my Maine. Thanks for Video and memories.
