The one and only reason that differentiates A R Rahman's music from the other composers - " The tune comes straight from the almighty and he is just a humble instrument to deliver it to us." Long live A R R and bless us with the shower of soulful music.
You won't find much people in india understanding the genius of tumtak.. even satyajit ray said we have a backward audience in india..here tum tak gets 20M views but chikni chameli or selfie gets 400M views.. God bless us
Very well explained by Manoj about ARR... the words he used here makes us to keep on listening to him...Good lyricist good writer but what happened to Adipurush only Devine almighty can explain...

With Manoj ji on board I would like to ask ..how to write on tune as such..which is difficult thing to do for many people who know fare bit of poetry writing but not on tune..because he gives such nice & simple tips which are very useful
I am not a professional lyricist but here're some advices that may help: Try writing additional lyrics to preexisting songs, or adding shers if it is a gazhal. Write lyrics in a preexisting song but in a different topic or theme. If you feel like the original lyrics is interfering with your new lyrics, you can do this same writing exercise in a song of a language you don't understand. If you are someone who writes poetry, practice arranging the words from your pre-written poems or gazhals into songs, and while doing so, try to keep the core ideas and feelings intact. Reading a lot of quality literature, especially poetry, is an obvious activity to do. I hope this was helpful. Good luck in your journey to becoming a lyricist.
Another fantastic episode..Manoj is very humble and down to earth person like ARRehman. Wondering all the people who work with ARRehman are like that. He is very passionate and the way he speaks about him and ARRehman is fantastic. Waiting for next episode to know more about his journey with legend ARRehman
That one particular piece where he has described theory behind Rahman romantic songs with example of Nanak ji..was moment of this episode ❤..especially at end ..secret behind writing good song
A R Rehman has used different style for the music bit of Quwali style and Sufi and that had such wonderful repeat listening value . The lyrics my Manoj Muntashir is sone main suhaga
whata a profound discussion!! this is by far the most interesting video I had seen in this series. I have a new respect for this guy and I should start looking for his songs now.

@O2india, yes, I have followed most of your interviews. I watch them at least once a week for quite some time now. This is amazing work. I specifically like Manoj sirs because of the way he clarified his point with an anecdote.
As Rahman long back said that all the perfect praises belong to Almighty, well that seems to be the cornerstone conversation of this interview! Rahman‘s divinity is so evident in his Music right from his first album Roja where even if the song sounded romantic, there is a divine note here or there somewhere or other that takes even a love duet notches higher! Comparing his energy to a nuclear reactor and his composition to a nuclear fission is one of the unique compliments to hear about ARR after hearing so many people saying so many things about him! However, I am yet to connect to the songs of Maidan including Mirza which is highly talked about by Manoj here! I could write about it better only when I know the depth of the song and so I refrain from commenting any further about it. But he is explanation that he is a maestro justify everything about his music!
Dear Sir. Thanks a lot. Delighted to see your feedback. Maidaan songs too, like any other song of Mr. Rahman... Takes time to grow on you. :) :) Regards.

I would like to know from any lyricists who wrote song for AR Rahman was the song which they heard and wrote sounded exactly the same when it was released
Dear Sir. Thanks a lot. Delighted to see your feedback. It may never happen sir. Because Mr. Rahman keeps working on a song till the film gets released. It never matches the originals track that he composes. Hope you have visited our channel o2india... it has more than 170 episodes with stalwarts of cinema who collaborated with Mr. Rahman. @@O2india Thank you for the reply. I would like to know more about how a song composition began and what all changes were made from the people which were part of the song. But if the tune changes so might be the lyrics so the lyric writers will know more about it thats why I asked the question. Please use original track to the maximum in your episode please dont include extended version sung by other people
