Usually anime over exaggerates everything and people's reactions for comedic purposes.
This, however, is real life reactions to otters. Squeeing and doubling over and everything. Yeah, its 100% accurate.

I have never seen a anime otter but I'm glad I have witnessed it
They’re cute, their population is currently recovering so they are not in too many places.
It's rare to see them in the wild unless specifically looking for their habitats because their population is threatened. But, if you're LUCKY, you can occassionally see them in Vancouver's coast. I remember seeing them once in the wild swimming in the bay when I was small.

@@braedenconti36 Southern Sea Otters. Northern Sea Otters number in the tens of thousands and River Otters are super common.

As weird as the platypus is, have you ever seen an aye-aye? They look like the design team ran out of the right sized parts half way through XD (like it's middle finger is 4x longer than its other fingers...)

I’d use ravenous as their viciousness comes from their appetite. If we are comparing viciousness I don’t think we as human’s are vicious I think we are brutal.

@@itsjustvin7630 they’re not vicious. Otters are just trying to survive and mind their business, not trying to live up to human standards. Sea otters in particular are pretty chill due to their environment and lifestyle, and of course extremely cute to us. But they are still wild animals and should not be approached or touched.

Shimoda. The male angel is Shimoda, and his ara-ara mentor is Ueda.
Also you find out later the angel Shimoda is a newborn angel and because of this he has problems with his handwriting cause he's still technically a baby.
I feel like most people have this reaction learning about otters.
With all the weird and utilitarian stuff nature comes up with, we should consider ourselves fortunate that something as cute as otters even exist 😊

From the few clips I've seen, this series looks like pretty much the perfect blend of science, problem solving and humour while not getting bogged down with the details.
Those two are me every time I visit the aquarium and see otters. Otters are freaking adorable!!

unrealistic: nobody in their right mind couldn't just not hug a sea otter
So... because I'm a horrible person that hates fun: as established, otters need a lot of food. If they couldn't find enough food by themselves, otters have been observed to kidnap other otters' offspring and hold them for food as ransom. Otters, therefore, are the cutest kidnappers ever!

And once again we see that nature is horrific and teaches us nothing. Why did the live and why did they die? No reason.
They are one of the most adorable things in the world, but just for the record, these animals are horrible pets. They are territorial, aggresive, have giant fangs, chew on anything, make a horrible noise loud as heck aaaaall the time and need a huge land to move (like 4 square kilometers at least).
Don't have wild animals for pets because you are supporting animal trafficking and abduction from their mothers in the wild or if not, they have them in a cage forcing them to reproduce to sell them. Just adopt from your local shelter and leave wild animals in their wildlife uwu

Bottom line : wild animals, are not domesticated and sure as hell aren't pets. They'll make your life hell. Just look at all the dipshits with wolf hybrids.
