I don't think it would work as a film. All of the lore and side characters are interesting, but the main story is pretty paper thin. It's really just a conceit for you to play around with a bunch of cool powers, and I say that as a fan. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
@@IanNicksic Yea.... they'd need to break the lore to make the movie somewhat interesting, considering in the lore corvo didn't do nearly any killing, and only one mission was done on high chaos
I hope to see Tyvia, if they ever make a Dishonored 3. Tyvia would contrast neatly against Serkonos as a setting, seeming more like a polar climate rather than a tropical one
@@kristianj.8798I just wanna pure this gen open world Dunwall with surrounding areas, great vertical traversal and depth. Also bunch of side quest and longer story. A game of clean 50 to 70 hours of gameplay with a open world and Corvo's powers in this gen would be a jackpot...
I hope we get another dishonored that's more girty and more like dishonored 1 with more emphasis on combat and exploration and with one banger of a story rather than oh no it's someone from the past game that comes back for revenge
To be fair, the less gritty aesthetic of DIshonored 2 was a deliberate thematic choice with Karnaca. When you return to Dunwall in the final mission, it's very much like the Dunwall we all know and love from the first game. The maps of Dishonored 2 are VERY open with a lot of exploration compared to the first game, but the heart system kinda ruins it. As for the story... yeah. I liked Dishonored 2's story but it's mostly just a combination of Dishonored 1 and Knife of Dunwall, but amounts to slightly less than the sum of its parts.

@@morecopemorerope4372 Wyman's gender has always been left intentionally ambiguous. The only time their gender is mentioned is during the Corroded Man novel, but the writer has stated this was a mistake, and therefore isn't really canon.

Arkane put it on the backburner for the time being. They want to make other games but they will return to this series. Though we don't know an exact time frame for that so it's on a 'to be determined' kinda status right now.
They created the masterpiece that is Prey 2017, then wanted to experiment with Deathloop. If I had to guess, Arkane is gonna take a break from making games to work on the Void engine because they didn't really improve it after Dishonored 2 and it REALLY hurt Deathloop.
