I found myself trying to turn this up louder than I had it when I started listening to it, and I couldn't because it was already as high as it could go! Just when you think you get it loud enough to really feel it, you have to turn it up more! I love Skillet SOOOO much! I went to Winterjam and heard them live for the first time when I was about 7... I'm 15 now and I still remember when they started playing! My brother, who was 5 at the time, had fallen asleep, but woke up immediately when he heard them play! Now I listen to Skillet every day! This band has brought me closer to Christ in the last 3 years I've been listening to them. I come from a Christian family but I never really understood what it all meant until my sister put one of the songs off Unleashed on in her car while we were out and about. Later on that year I performed "Stars" at my school's talent show for that year.
I've been obsessed with this new album since I first started listening to it a week or so ago and have been raving about it to my friends. I had planned to listen to it when it first came out but I ended up being out of town when 'Victorious' came out originally and just found the time to be able to sit down and listen to it all the way through. Wound up listening to it all the way through 3 times already! So many people I know at my school has been touched by Skillet, Christian or not, and it blows my mind with how many can be brought together by a group.
And can I just say I love the harmony at 2:09 - 2:34 . That's my favorite part of the song

Well as John said, if it was up to him Skillet would sound much heavier. All those heavy intros would have lead to thrashing riffs and crazy drums and such, just like back then. Gotta say, Breaking Ben is my fav band. But Skillet has never disappointed, ever. They get the #2 and gaining. Ben sings my life story so I can relate easily. Skillet keeps my spirits up while I dance on a razors edge between all things.
