Aloha Everyone and welcome back to iHula Hawaii. I'm Lynn, bringing the hula of Hawaii‘i to you. This is just the end where we're going to wrap up the hula and then there's going to be a "dance along" of the entire hula, where you can dance along with me.
I have one last challenge for you. Hula is a gift and it's meant to be shared. I want you to think of an opportunity where you can dance this hula for someone.
Think of maybe a "special someone" that you'd like to gift this hula to - somebody that might not even expect something like that from you - or share it with your friends, share it with your children, share it with your parents, but SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE!
Hula is not meant to keep, it is meant to share.

My mom, she loves this song and is always dancing this song. It be special because hula I could not get. My mom try her best teaching me but just couldn’t get it. Then she put me in Tahitian and I got that down pack. But this is hula is to my mom and I know she will be very touched. And then she will get up and dance with me. And others I will share with. You too. Im still practicing but thank you so much for sharing this. I have been wanting to learn but either to busy or something. But this song is family song to all of us Hawaiian families.

Mahalo nui for this video. I'm a hospice nurse and moved from o'ahu 3 years ago to Oregon to be closer to my sister who has leukemia. One of my hospice pts died recently. Today is her celebration of life. The son asked if I'd sing. She used to live on Kauai. I decided to do Hanalei Moon and found your video for the hula so my husband and I are doing it for the celebration.

As a teacher of young children, I was recently asked to put some traditional dance lessons together and these have helped me enormously. Hula is such an expressive, beautiful and delicate art form. Your tutorials are easy to follow and are a great source of inspiration. Also, I have a right hand side weakness following a childhood illness so this is excellent physical therapy for me. I’m familiar with the song but have never choreographed a hula to it. I will put it on the “request” list. I did check out that channel and those ladies dance beautifully. I can see why it’s hard to follow as it’s not instructional. I’ll be sure to let you know if I do this song. Mahalo for the request.

Aloha!! Thank you for the lessons I have been able to follow along and have memorized most of the hula. It's been many years since I've done any hula. I have been asked to share some hula with the ladies at work. I have one more week to practice and prepare to teach 200 or more ladies some basic steps of hula.

Did your little one like the "Hula Basics" with Lilo & Stitch that I made? I use this hula warm up with all of my preschool hula classes.
I am just finding these videos and am trying to learn easy hulas at home for exercise only. I find them pretty easy to follow, but i have some trouble figuring out how they are sorted. If I could find all the beginner steps in one place it would be a bit easier for me to get the basics down and then learn a dance.

Aiko~ I can add those titles to my "request list" which I do consider for my videos, but I can't guarantee that those hula would be be published. Since you're planning to dance a hula for your wedding, I can offer something else.
I do offer a hula package for individuals who would like a custom hula created for their upcoming special occasion (wedding, vow renewal, anniversary, etc.), with individual coaching.
