Mindfuless is to developed the mind to stay still. It Is not developing concentration. When the mind is still it is still not completed the journey. Instead Ceesations of the mind is the complete journey to ends all suffering. Buddhang saranam gacchami
I miss my beloved teacher , Bhante Punnaji. "Honor to those who are worthy of honor" (Mangala Sutta). The way I honor Bhante is by practicing the Buddha's teachings with confifence and joy.
Practice till ceesations of conciousness then you have completed the journey. Seeing the end of sufferrings arise when ceesations of conciousness is experienced. One sees clearly non self.
by encouraging others do merit for self satisfaction and comfort are we not enforcing moha, lobha, dosa? i have heard and read that the some suttas in the khuddaka nikaya has been added by others after the buddha had passed away. there are some suttas in the KN,usually stories which are doubtful if they were spoke by the buddha.
Dear Pheng, The answer is No. At the beginning, we should encourage people to practice noble actions in order to suppress the surface level of negativities. When they are established, we need to guide them to practice the same without any other intention than letting go. We may have doubts. But, if you can let me know about those doubtful sutras, I can help you to to know more about them. May you attain nibbana!
