My idea for the proper timeline of the movies, T1, T2, TSCC season 1 & 2, and then finally leading to an epic two part 3hr per movie with the final battle and destruction of Skynet. The actor that played John Conner in The Sarah Conner Chronicles was a great choice of actor (Thomas Dekker) The movies could be set years later after the season 2 final with John older (using a different name to hid his identity so Skynet can't find him) to aid on the final defect of Skynet.
Just finished the game a few days ago and I enjoyed it. It was a solid game and it was good by Terminator standards. Wish we got more games based on this franchise.
Because the DLC was recently released, I found myself back to admiring this game from afar. Gonna buy it soon. One of the highest comments here was that this was the Salvation we deserved, to which I say - this is the ending to Salvation we deserved. T3 and T4, while they are in by no means better than T1 and T2, with T5 and T6 being such abysmal failures, Rise and Salvation at least tried to show some respect whereas Genesys and Fate just...threw a temper tantrum all over the fundamentals of the series. I see this game, having grown up with up to T4, as the endgame that T4 was gonna set up but never was able to cause low and behold, the studios would rather push their own ideas rather than adapt. Resistance finishes what Salvation started, and by extension the series as a whole by coming full circle to the moment where T1 and T2 began. AND, the game itself makes a callback to T3 by having the Terminator you fight through the game a T-850, which first appeared in Terminator 3. So...it's not hard to imagine that there was some love for at least T3 and T4 amongst the devs. But thank god they didn't make any callbacks to Genesys and Fate.
I remember when i was little and i watched the terminator and this song started playing when he was about to terminate himself i was crying my ass off and to this day every time when i hear this song i shred a tear !

I haven’t heard a Terminator track like this in a very long time. You can tell there passion behind it as well as in it. This is part of what makes terminator so great. I love it can’t stop listening to it. It gives me so much nostalgia. Sadly as has been proven we more than likely won’t get another good terminator film.
Pretty incredible how much the game was critically panned but has become one of the best user reviewed shooters in quite some time. A provocative thought where you don't need tons of money, huge marketing or a big development studio to create something the fans want rather than what a studio wants. A definitive case where less is more.
It might not have been the best game of the year- But godammit they tried their best to give an enjoyable product with heart, genuinely put their heart and soul into it, did their research, and did their best to atone for Rambo- and I think most folks will agree they’ve genuinely redeemed themselves/their reputation
Best Terminator game EVER! This is the Future War experience I've wanted for so long! After the disaster of Terminator: Dark Fate, this game gave me hope for the franchise!
I'd ask why it took so long to actually make a good Terminator game but I already know the answer. It's because like with all IPs the people who made games for Terminator didn't give a real shit and just wanted to make a lazy half assed game and sell it off the name.
Not a terrible year for terminator at all this game is funking amazing yes I said that. Slightly poor Graphics and AI but the story, character development variation of gameplay and bitching sound track have me hooked well done Teyon for an indie game development team this is almost groundbreaking.
the best feel of terminator in any game, and an inmersive final battle with this soundtrack blasting while you gun down "metals" with the rest of the resistance.
This game was so well crafted and put together so perfectly that it can work as a Prequel or a Sequel. It's literally that good that it can go both ways.
@@major_lazer1269 It is. It's a prequel before T1 & T2 in the original timeline before Sarah made a different decision to go after Miles Dyson that radically change futures.
This is a prequel of the two movies but also a sequel because this timeline isn't changed. It's clear that in Terminator the timelines can't changed. Time travellers go to another timeline because if it would be the same timeline, the events of T2 could cause a time paradox. So Skynet didn't change nothing. I choose the finale with Jacob who stay in his time because according to me the Terminator who sent back in 2029 arrived in the timeline changed by T2 and not what they show in that game finale. If the first Terminator went to 1984 and the second to 1995 of the same timeline, it is clear that the third went to 2029 of the timeline of T2. For correct the error of that finale I always choose the finale of Rivers that don't go
We all know T-2 theme is a classic but if where you were to pick another version of the main them and not T-2, which would it be? I pick Resistance as my second favorite.
MsCelinna graphics aren’t my Concern since PCs I are made in the last decade it’s outdated the closest thing I got to something playable is my Lenovo 315ABR In short is it playable on consoles without to many issues
No, it’s unfortunately not. It just means I can like the franchise again by at least being partially allowed to look outside of the first two good ones.
@@clearlywrong6520 I get you. Yes it is very that some very good franchises get bogged down or even ruined by terrible sequels, prequels, or even reboots, especially when some good scripts for follow up were on the table. Now I have heard comments from people who did not like the Gibson script much, felt that it was more a job for him than something he really put effort into it. And of course the frustration that Ripley would be unconscious during most if not the entire movie (this had to do with as it wasn't sure if Weaver would sign up again) Hindsight is always 20/20 but looking back I think Gibson Alien 3 would have been betting, progressing the series from scifi-horror to scifi-action to scifi-thriller with Hicks trying to find out what the Weyland Yutani corporation is doing on Anchorage station while the UPP has its own alien recreation project and eventually outbreak on Rodina. It then switches to Hicks having to try to save the remaining crew of the station while searching for any way off. And the story ends with a good setup for an Alien 4. While I hate the idea of the Alien franchise becoming a full on war movie as I feel it would somewhat clash with the atmosphere of the franchise I still think it is better to do a thriller and a war movie than trying to recreate the original Alien over and over. Oh before I forget, I did not mind the new alien reproduction method. Truth is I always preferred egg morphing over an alien queen as that turned the aliens into ants while they are suppose to be something completely unknown with nothing to it similar on Earth. I also felt that the creatures have been kept as very cunning sadistic killers and not mindlessly running into gun fire. But I think in the end William Gibson's Alien 3 mini series and Terminator Resistance is probably the best we will ever get out of this franchise. Well I hope there will be more good Alien comics/games and Terminator games, but there will never be a movie again as good as the original two of both franchises. I wish Hollywood executives would get that into their fat heads.
God, I can't get enough of that intro. Then...those familiar notes kick in, and I feel like I'm playing the Terminator Salvation arcade game all over again, just blasting T-800s, HKs, and the like all over again!
That feel when a AA game is a better Terminator movie than the last..*does math and checks online* HALF A BILLION!?! dollars worth of Hollywood dreck. (though I did enjoy Salvation. maybe I'm the only one.)
The Terminator 2 theme song does a great job of being both sad and aggressive at the same time. I'd love to hear this done by a full sympthony and choir.
Real cool rendition of the Brad Fiedel masterpiece. Plus, this game and how it ties into the first movie and builds up lore pretty much blows everything else made after T2 out of the water. Admittedly, I liked T3 for some of the cool action sequences and it's somewhat daring finale. But from then on it all went south quickly. T:R encompasses a lot of the stuff I always dreamed would be a follow-up movie to the original TERMINATOR back in the day. A movie that was set in the dark future and shows the struggle of the resistance. In my mind it then would end after an awesome finale with Kyle being sent through time so that both movies, T1 and my imaginary one, could be enjoyed back to back. This, for me, would have been both the perfect continuation of T1 and the closure of the Terminator story. Hardly would I have thought I could enjoy a video game of this franchise as much as I enjoy T:R. Well done.
Never was a big fan of the Battlefield franchise but if someone took this game and morphed it with the open chaos of war that battlefield demonstrates that would be an EPIC MASTERPIECE of a game if done right. Story and the DLCs stay as they are but imagine online play battlefield style between Skynet and the Resistance. OMG.
I fully appreciate the authentic T1-T2 feel of the final stage scenes where it's just dark and violet plasma flying everywhere, with the theme in the background spurring the player on against a sudden last stand onslaught of everything Skynet had in the region just to stop you. Very. Nice. Having the soft and battle version of the theme was also a smooth move. If this is what's possible as a fan-of-the-good-films-respecting effort, I'd love to see it as a photorealistic VR experience (character story arcs were a good balance out too).
"WE ARE NOW RESISTANCE FIGHT FOR THE CAUSE, FIGHT FOR MANKIND, FIGHT FOR OUR SAKE, FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE" *reloads rifle* "LETS RECYCLE THESE TIN CANS AND SHOW THESE CLANKERS THERE PLACE"
when the theme finally kicks in during the final push to Skynet's time displacement facility is genuinely a hype moment. getting updates as each of the three Terminators go through the time portals really only adds to the sense of urgency to break through the defense grid.
Another developers could learn a lot from this game, that you don't need a lot of money to make great game, you just need to do it with love. This game has graphics from like 2010 games, yet again it amazed me with atmosphere and gameplay, and music was phenomenal.
I genuinely love this game. I always felt we needed more media regarding the Future War that wasn't just books or comics. I LOVED the missions where it was literal war. Just Chaos with orders being yelled, sounds of Skynet aerials and Plasma fire everywhere.

Actually that could be fine with it carrying on from the awesome cliffhanger of the second and sadly final season of The Sarah Conner Chronicles. If you've seen the series and know how it left off with the ending of season 2 a third season would have been amazing with it being set during the future war with a young John Conner.

Reminds me of Brad Fiedel's Terminator 2 theme with a hit of sweet riffs.
Just finished the game a few days ago and I enjoyed it. It was a solid game and it was good by Terminator standards. Wish we got more games based on this franchise.
FOR JOHN
Terminator 2 and then Terminator: Resistance game. This game is perfection
Best Remake all Time Perfect for the game and Maybe i can say This is the best Terminator game
And Now i have 20 min to drink my coffe 😎😉
I remember when i was little and i watched the terminator and this song started playing when he was about to terminate himself i was crying my ass off and to this day every time when i hear this song i shred a tear !
I shred a tear too.
Fantastic game. Tim miller should play this to wash away his guilt, once and for all. This is the real story we all wanted to know, now give us a remastered edition of Dawn of Fate
Tim Miller should just retire. That hack got lucky with directing Deadpool. But after seeing what he did to Terminator, he shouldn't be ruining any more franchises.
@@danialyousaf6456 true... but honestly I should had mentioned Jim Cameron as well. These developers are more aware of the Terminator universe than anybody else out there...

I love every version of this Terminator Theme
I had lots of fun with this game. Better than expected, it shows how the developers respected the material. Great soundtrack!
Someone please let Brad Fidel know of this! He has a TH-cam account.
For me, I think he'd be impressed.
He doesn't care, the theme has been remade so many times already

Damn bruh
Wtf 😂🤣
Put. This. On. Itunes. And. Spotify. Now.
I'd like it on Amazon while we're at it.
O. Fuckn. K
"I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle..." Also this fucking theme song 🤣
Fuck you
Kudos to the composer for making this feel right out of 1980. This is great
1:04 what a throwback to one of the original Terminator video game themes mixed in with a new take on the movie theme
Pretty incredible how much the game was critically panned but has become one of the best user reviewed shooters in quite some time. A provocative thought where you don't need tons of money, huge marketing or a big development studio to create something the fans want rather than what a studio wants. A definitive case where less is more.
It might not have been the best game of the year-
But godammit they tried their best to give an enjoyable product with heart,
genuinely put their heart and soul into it, did their research, and did their best to atone for Rambo- and I think most folks will agree they’ve genuinely redeemed themselves/their reputation
First time listening to this, was like...meh...but it has some eargasm parts....after listening few more times, now I can't stop listening lol.
Same dude
Not a terrible year for terminator at all this game is funking amazing yes I said that. Slightly poor Graphics and AI but the story, character development variation of gameplay and bitching sound track have me hooked well done Teyon for an indie game development team this is almost groundbreaking.
the pc version looks ok, on 4k looking good.
I would've made the terminators incredibly intelligent tacticians.
Nice Theme, really good Game. I like it, this is Terminator!
the best feel of terminator in any game, and an inmersive final battle with this soundtrack blasting while you gun down "metals" with the rest of the resistance.
brilliant soundtrack to a brilliant game absolutely followed the entire T1&2 plots and made it sensed by game point of view :)
This game was so well crafted and put together so perfectly that it can work as a Prequel or a Sequel. It's literally that good that it can go both ways.
This is a good sequel to salvation. I just wish it could've been a movie
What could be better than a playable movie? :-)
It isn't. Salavation takes place in another timeline.
@@tristanbackup2536 I thought this game is before T1
For me:
1. T2 Theme
2. T1 Theme
3. Resistance Theme

Franchise resurrection has left a grim present and ugly future. The like of this and William Gibson’s Alien 3 give me a glimmer of hope.
Oh is that movie planned? I read the Dark Horse comics when they came out.
And of course the frustration that Ripley would be unconscious during most if not the entire movie (this had to do with as it wasn't sure if Weaver would sign up again)
Hindsight is always 20/20 but looking back I think Gibson Alien 3 would have been betting, progressing the series from scifi-horror to scifi-action to scifi-thriller with Hicks trying to find out what the Weyland Yutani corporation is doing on Anchorage station while the UPP has its own alien recreation project and eventually outbreak on Rodina.
No, you're not. I genuinely loved Salvation.
@Wookie Kang I completely agree with that list, although I’d put T3 above salvation, but salvation was still epic
The Terminator 2 theme song does a great job of being both sad and aggressive at the same time. I'd love to hear this done by a full sympthony and choir.
Thank you Teyon, thank you Reef Entertainment, and thank you Chris Detyna! \m/
A 2 hour version will be awesome, hey WTH, an 8 hour version will be perfect!
Should I be ashamed if this soundtrack made me hold back tears, before even playing the game?
I stayed in the menu screen just to hear this theme complete before play xD
Honestly, one of my favorite renditions of this theme. Games composer deserves a tone of respect!
This game is very clearly the very best installment to the franchise since Judgment Day. Can't wait for a sequel to this.
Terminator Resistance is the best Terminator game I played in the any game system can't wait to get a PlayStation 5 and play the Enchanted version
I just bought the game on Friday and I can honestly say, it's worth every dollar, and talk about faithful adaptation
This just makes me wanna watch the terminator movies and play through this game, just gets ya hyped every time ya hear it ✊
I like this Version👍
This is just wonderful. Proper chills from this version. It's the version T2 should have had!
Well done.
They need to make more Terminator games like this one!
OMG.
I played every most Terminator games as a kid Seaga, playstion2 now getting ready for PS4 till now.
This is how you were supposed to finish Terminator Trilogy, Cameron!
"WE ARE NOW RESISTANCE FIGHT FOR THE CAUSE, FIGHT FOR MANKIND, FIGHT FOR OUR SAKE, FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE"

"LETS RECYCLE THESE TIN CANS AND SHOW THESE CLANKERS THERE PLACE"
FOR THE RESISTANCE
The actual Terminator saga.

when the theme finally kicks in during the final push to Skynet's time displacement facility is genuinely a hype moment. getting updates as each of the three Terminators go through the time portals really only adds to the sense of urgency to break through the defense grid.
Theres a chance to make the Terminator movies good again...this game is a perfect example to use.
The most right and unforgettable SkyNet’s theme,as all SkyNet’s world - these project and fight will go down in history forever and ever !!!
Amazing how a video game might save the Terminator franchise from oblivion.
I had no idea there was a game, but this extended track is bad ass! Terminator 2 will forever be one of my favorite movies! Thank you for sharing!
This song reminds me of my old school
The story of this game should have been the next movie.
This title theme sounds like if the T-800 were in Killer Instinct. I like the portion without the electric guitar best.
That synth is always the soft spot 👌
Finished this game today and thoroughly impressed, could have been longer but great nonetheless
I had this blaring when I played the Terminator live event on Ghost Recon Breakpoint!
I love the music, love the game, love the franchise
