One point on the Death Guard Legion rules, the ignoring movement doesn't apply to disembarking. It's classed as a special movement so they don't ignore it, same way they can't charge out of all vehicles. Just means that heavy weapons would still snap shoot if they disembark.
@@SNBattleReports "A model with this special rule that does not have the Cavalry Unit Type or Artillery Unit Sub-type ignores any modifiers or restrictions on moving during the Movement phase as long as the model does not Run or make use of another alternative form of Movement such as Disembarking."
22:45 Search Lights only reduce the line of sight penalty for Night Fighting. You still have -1 to hit. So, only one heavy bolter shot hit there, for exmaple.
You may have missed some bonus attacks from reaping blow on the scythes. Not that it made much of a difference, it is a bit sad to see such a cool unit like Ebon Keshing not being able to do much, maybe a Chaplain would be a good idea to buff them?. Still love to see the 2 full squads of them in the middle of the field. Great, diverse lists, great atmosphere, great game.
On the snap firing- I like the templates. Templates are a distinct feature of the game from 40k that I think is neat, but I understand why you would opt for wall of death to get through the game faster.
I really wish GW would FAQ the White Scars jump pack thing. It's ambiguous because the Jump Pack rules say the model "sets its Movement characteristic to 12" - so it now has a Move characteristic of 12, and the White Scars legion trait gives +1 to Movement characteristic, and the model's Move is set to 12, so the real question is WHEN the White Scars rule applies - is it just when the model is selected as part of the army list? Or is it a constant effect that applies to newly assigned movement values during a game? If the Jump Pack rules just said they could make a move of up to 12", there would be no ambiguity, but since it sets their Movement Characteristic, it's clear as mud!
@@SNBattleReports - That's not entirely true. The Swift of Action rule says "All models with this special rule add +1 to their Movement Characteristic." The Warhawk Jump Pack says "a model with a Legion Warhawk Jump Pack may set *its Move Characteristic* to a value of 12". Since the Warhawk Jump Pack makes *the model's* move characteristic 12, the +1 should/could apply. Like I said before, if it said they can make a 12" move, then it would be crystal clear and the +1 wouldn't apply, but since it says it sets the model's Move Characteristic to 12, the Swift of Action rule could be applied.
So... when does the Swift of Action rule get applied to their "Move Characteristic"? Is it only at the start of the game, or does it get added after they "set [their] Move Characteristic to a value of 12" too?
Not sure how impactful it would have been given how many white scars got gunned down, but `The Reaping` Rite of War does not allow the DG units to run.

Well charging is very different as only assault vehicles are allowed.
It does, it is movement, not a charge.

Yes imagine a death guard drop pod assault if they could fire heavy weapons like normal straight out the pods 😮😬
Great game but just a heads up units with Vexilla can't run off the table. They just stop 1 inch from the edge.
Yeah I don’t know how we missed that
0:50 I constantly leave home without bikes when playing White Scars, thank you very much. 😅

@@SNBattleReports lol it was just that one time. You guys remembered in every other circumstance. My bad 😅
@ so Kayron cheated once 🤣
@@SNBattleReports Forfeited his win. Only solution.
fyoog = is how you pronounce fugue.
Nice report guys good to see plenty of troops fighting it out throughout the turns.
Usually don’t see Grave Wardens doing there thing effectively.
@@nickarmiger2003 yeah it looked so good on the table was a joy to play
Very narrative match up! Love to see it.
Thank you very much

Thanks buddy! To use the chaplain you would need to take this rite of war as if not you can’t add a unit that isn’t karesh into the unit
@@SNBattleReports Oh! Thanks for the info, that's not cool for the Ebon Keshig.

@@brosefhammercurl3438 on some occasions it’s also better right? If for example you are firing at a one wound
@@SNBattleReports I suppose so. I guess my template wielding units never live long enough/ stay out of melee to be in that situation.

Yeah sadly rules as written you get plus one if you dont activate the jump pack but if you do it’s only 12”

Yeah he didn’t run Josh. They also can’t do any movement reactions
Cool battle report.👍
Thanks boss
Great battle rep. Yeah Ebon Keshig just don’t cut it, WS4 and no AP2 just not worth it sadly.
😞
22:15, remebert arc of weapon!
True! Why did we not see that. I guess maybe becuase he could still move a bit
Think you forget some FNP on the Ebon Keshig
You should try Typhon in a squad of Grave Wardens. They are more synergistic than Deathshroud.
Agreed!
So good game! So beautiful army’s! But you’re confused about some of the rules. I'll write in more detail in the community
Thanks 🙏🏽
