Effective July 1, 2023, the Florida Statutes were amended to eliminate permanent alimony. There are now four types of alimony in Florida: temporary, bridge-gap-, rehabilitative, and durational. In this edition of Florida Appeals Journal, Jennifer Carroll discusses the ramifications of this change in the law.
