Sadly vr will still take decades more to be a household thing. At this point it's a project of passion and he's losing a lot of money on it. It won't be a thing till it's super slimmed down and has apple hyping/ releasing hardware for it or something.
@@Kurry34 My family has used it daily since the Quest 2 came out, and we’ve owned each model since the Rift. Honestly, I’m not concerned about how popular it is. As long as enough people have it to keep it in production, I’m happy.
I hope Apple keeps the monopole of personal technology, I’m never gonna trust this man.

The frequent scattered cheers from the audience made me feel that these people were actors invited to enhance the atmosphere.But the Quest3 product looks really good. I look forward to testing it after the release of 10.10.
Maybe not hired actors but i wouldn't be surprised if there was a selection process for the crowd.

Why can't you just give credit where credit is due? The engineers actually worked hard to make this happen and THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING CALLED A FACEBOOK fan lol. FB fans or whatever do not exist anywhere on the internet, so you know when the company is getting praised its coming from a neutral place.

His own software team was kinda lackluster afaik and everyone was telling him it was a nieche (or however it's written) experience for a very select target audience. Still, they've managed to make it somewhat mainstream. I agree with op (even though I hate meta/fb as much as the next nerd), good job, Zuck..
Mark doesn't look like an alien/a lizard any more imho.. Looks much more relaxed and like a normal human being. Also, pre-ordered the 128gb, since I mostly play PCVR anyways :)

@@unfinishedsenten One thing people will, IMHO want to use memory for is for making video recordings.. And I think the hot thing will be to make stereographic videos. And that can eat up storage. And with the enhanced high-resolution color bypass cameras I can see meta implementing being able to make stereographic images of your IRL space.
I can see Meta getting into the cloud storage business to offer cloud storage for their devices. This actually would be pretty good.. because if you could access your cloud meta cloud storage on other devices.. like a laptop or smartphone? you can view them there and share them there too.. Plus. if you have some stereographic content.. you could use something like Google cardboard to view it in stereographic form as well. Would people be willing to pay a few dollars for a few dollars per month for 200 GB of meta cloud storage (something similar to Apple's iCloud+ which is 200 GB of cloud storage for $3.99/mo?)
I can appreciate this device i believe alot of people should be happy with the progress the company has made.
What projector r they using to look that bright in a day lignt
one downs side, should have had the power with a cable going down the back. following the spine leading to a power supply, preferably placed on the back. this allows for more reassurance of time to use. maybe even through out the day with out charge.
Definitely gonna get one. I was worried that Quest 3 would be super expensive after Apple announced theirs for $3,499. Kudos to Meta for keeping the price affordable while packing in really good stuff.

Whose gona buy quest? It's nice to borrow not to buy. There is nothing to do on it, playing ps3 quality games? Watching videos are not pleasure to eyes for a longer time.
@@romantratwa7848 These are very niche products for early adopters. Quest caters to a wider audience since its more affordable but VR/AR still has a way to go. Most people buy this and use it a couple times then it just collects dust. Until they can basically turn them into glasses it won't have use

The problem with previous generations processing power is they lack capability to generate real time shadows in many games. Hopefully from the demo, Quest 3 would be able to make virtual experiences more compelling with shadows and enhanced graphics!
I'll be happy to use it but what I hate is how even the slightest movement of the headset makes things blurry. Hopefully the lenses will fix this

Has anyone tried the controllers yet to compare the tracking to Meta Quest 2? I play Eleven Table Tennis and wondering if tracking is as good or better due to them removing the physical rings.

@@NatanPereira-zt5hb Here's the thing. Quest can also be used as a wearable PC. We can utilize multiple screens inside the Virtual World, and in Actuality. We have keyboards we can literally bring into the Virtual World, even our couches. It has all of Apple Features, and more. This is why it's Mixed Reality. It's more than just gaming. I sometimes use my headset to watch movies with friends in BigScreen VR, and browse the web.

@@NatanPereira-zt5hball that power? All that cost? It’s a shame that it’s so limited. The Quest 3 can do %90 of what the vision pro can do at 14% of the cost, as well as game. They shouldn’t ignore a huge part of the market, it’ll just seem lacking in comparison
Apple intentionally designed the Vision Pro to Fail. Their pockets are long enough to play the game on that level. While at the same time I personally am more in favor of the Meta Quest 3

Since the launch is next year I'm thinking maybe that in the spring event they'll talk more about it and also developers would have already made so many apps for it

Quest 3 all the way, The apple vision pro wouldn’t be focused on gaming and I don’t want apples proprietary OS and extreme pricing. Quest is just better in every way.
So it being wireless, does that mean you can still connect it via cable? And being wireless is great unless your wi fi sucks, plus it's going to drain the battery faster.

@@adrianilabej317 so are they relying on an aray of IR LEDs for tracking? And if so, i suppose their battery life would be better than the hand controllers of the Quest Pro controllers which have cameras for tracking??
@@manp1039Yes, the IR lights are still there, theyre just not on a ring anymore, they also sort of use hand tracking at the same time to get a more accurate model of exactly where the controller is, compared to the pro where the controllers track themselves with their cameras, which is why their battery life is so comparatively bad. The controllers do come with the 500$ model and in reguards to the controller battery life, it should be the same as Q2, so still really good battery life

Received my Quest 3 2 days ago. Image is much sharper than in Quest 2. Nice feature Mixed Reality only tested 1 game. My daughter 6 years old loved it. Seems the battery becames faster empty than in Quest 2. Thought after Quest 2 they would come with full body tracking but now it is Mixed Reality.
I wanna know what kind of screen they use for this demo, it's crystal clear in broad daylight!

First off, needs more storage for the price. You can get 1tb micro sd for $60-100ish and they want $150 more for 380ish more gb... For that much more, they should give the 512gb model eye tracking to push more performance into it making it lot better.

I’m mega curious if this becomes a super normal thing. Def not saying it won’t, I know new things get pushback just because they are new. But I’m super intrigued to see actually how many homes this will become the norm in; people who care too much what their hair looks like may never want to wear this, or even just the act of placing it on your head, I’ll be somewhat surprised if this truly becomes a worldwide norm like the smart phone or Bluetooth earpieces.
Yeah, the thing with phones and tv’s is you can immediately put your phone down or look away from the TV. But a headset is more intensive, there’s a bigger dedication. So that will take a long time for people to get over. I can see myself using it at work for 3 screens, or for when I want a dedicated game sesh. Curious about the future when they’re a lot lighter and smaller

Shame that they couldn't figure out Deep Fovea for foveated rendering. The Quest 3 doesn't even come with eye tracking. I guess we'll have to wait to see what Valve has up their sleeves. Will be the best gamer option.
