Shikamaru has always been a fave of mine, but this story arc made him even more of a favourite. I cried when Asuma died and I cried when Shikamaru's father told him to let it out. Half of this arc was me crying honestly. I cried even more than with Gaara & Chiyo. It was agonising to watch him in so much pain for losing someone who was so close to him, someone who was as close as family to him. He was Asuma's treasured pupil who had to see his teacher's death right in front of him. Rest in peace Asuma, your students are doing your name proudly.

I appreciate the effort into making the english lyrics genuine. Many J bands just skirt by using katakana, but this man respected the language. Not many who put in that effort.
Because he already has the foundation of speaking english, duh. Many japanese artists's english foundation is from what they learned in school. Japanese schools teach that kind of english. The ones with english that actually sound like english are usually either returnee or went on in-depth study for it. The example is Joe inoue, or Yoasobi's vocalist, or many other returnees who go for singing career and make their own lyrics.
