    Nice job on the sticker removal, never thought about using the sticker to get the adhesive off.
    Big ass wrench... “I got to get me one of these!”

    Came across your channel and subscribed. I also have the GT and love it. It replaced my 2015 Tracer the same as you. Looking forward to seeing what other mods you do. Currently making my way through your other videos. Keep up the good work 👍

    Are you still using the Heated comfort seat? How does it hold up 2 years later?

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still using. It remains as good as new! I like it a lot!

    As I'm waiting for my own Tracer GT to arrive (not yet released in Canada until mid-July), I am living vicariously through you, watching you mod your bike.. :P How good is the 'comfort seat' compared to the GT stock seat? Is it worth upgrading to the comfort model, even if you don't opt for the heated version?

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't try the stock seat (yet). The comfort seat is very comfortable, compared to the old Tracer seat.

    Thanks for your videos,
    it's scheduled for next September the delivery of one like yours, but with the top-case 50Lt option and its Yamaha support.
    In addition to the larger base for the side stand, I also want to put a TFT panel protector and motor protection bars, so I ask you if you can put in the description of your review videos, which brand/ model, or the respective add-ons links that you are installing in your beautiful Tracer.
    Thanks and keep up the good videos!
    Ps: For when a video "out of the garage"? :)
    Abraço e boas curvas ;)

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm editing the TFT panel protector video right now, it should come out tomorrow. Also, I've ordered the crash bars so as soon as they're delivered I'll do a video on that. As for actually riding... that's this weekend!! Around 800 km planned, and then first service and another trip next weekend! Abraço.

    Hi, Can you comment whether the seat mechanism looks the same as the old tracer, will the new comfort seat fit the 2017 tracer you think?

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The front seat fits the old Tracer, but apparently it doesn't look good (I haven't seen it myself yet). The rear seat doesn't fit.

    Esses reflectores foleiros também foram a primeira coisa a sair da minha moto. Pedi para tirarem logo no stand!

    We don't have the reflectors in the Netherlands, so I doubt it is a Euro4 thing. I see it in the UK and US because of regulations over there, but not across the whole of the EU,

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean? My bike is from the Netherlands and I had the reflectors. IT IS a Euro4 thing, but since there's no inspection in the Netherlands the dealers probably remove them immediately.

      Yes, Comfort Heated seat from Yamaha

      Critical Rider Yeah, I should have watched longer before asking
      😁
      Would you recommend the Tracer for a first bike, I am 41 and I believe it is a sensible choice..

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's too powerful, but since you're 41 you may be wise enough. Keep it in B-mode for a few months to gain experience.

    • @iliyamarinov3444
      @iliyamarinov3444 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Critical Rider will keep that in mind, thank you.

      Critical Rider I test drove the Tracer today. Man, it's an easy bike to ride, even for unexperienced rider like me. It goes very smooth, but there is a buzz in the handles at around 4500rpm.And a tall screen is a must for the highway
      😊

    Less weight more speed !! LOL ... I agree with removing those shity reflectores ... and I think it's gonna get worse, they're planning on putting more reflectores, jacket and boots mandatory ... a few thing more !!
    The battery is so accessible on that bike, amazing. Did you use any fuse or relais with that connection?
    Loved the heated seat ... our ass is our best asset, ahahahahah !!!
    Cheers

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unsprung weight, even!! Gone! However, Yamaha is to blame in this case. I don't mind reflectors if they're well integrated in the machine. But a round, cheap, ugly thing? Nope. As forthe charger, there's no need for fuse, just direct connection. The trickle charger is very high quality (CTEK) and I've been using 2 of them (for the Tracer and the XSR) for the past 3 years, no issues at all. Especially the XSR, it's connected for 6 months in a row and never misses a beat. I might do a long term review on the charger...

  • @mistery00t29
    @mistery00t29 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You are doing very good job on both bikes and bike like bike looks really nice as a model...but to be honest I think doesn't worth that money!
    Look at that part under the seat...everything is made from cheap materials and plastics staff as much as they could do.
    I dont mean about your bike...I mean in general.
    GT just because has a panniers and different suspension...

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your kind words. To me, one of the biggest selling points of this bike is the engine. You just can't get this much fun in a touring package anywhere else!! It is a very, very, .... very good do-it-all!! As for the plastics... I agree, but as I install this stuff I keep realizing how light these plastics are. They're flimsy, but I never had any issues with them on the previous bike, and this is a very light bike (unlike the big fat cows from other brands). I've ridden the F800GS from top to bottom of Australia (check out that video, my best ever by far) and it's extremely disappointing!! So, I'll take the Tracer over the alternatives every day of the week, with or without plastics.

      Aleksandar Zivkovic buy a bmw....and don't need to worry about the quality. other problem?

    • @CriticalRider
      @CriticalRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      BMW is factually one of the most unreliable brands in the market. So yeah, no worries...

    • @Nexus-6
      @Nexus-6 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aside from the panniers, and suspension, the GT also comes with a full colour TFT display, heated grips, and cruise control. As far as reliability, BMW is not that reliable, and service costs for them are high, along with a high sticker price. Yamaha, on the other hand is literally rated as the most reliable motorcycle brand on the planet (with Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki following close behind), has a large dealer network, and also have the longest valve check intervals of any motorcycle at 42,000 kms (26,000 miles).
      Where I live in northern British Columbia, Canada, there are only 4 BMW dealers in the entire province, with the closest one being about 800 kms away. While the closest Yamaha (as well as Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki) dealers are only 160 kms away.
