Being a quantum physicist I can say quantum computing will only be feasible for certain kind of problem.
Rather people nowadays are thinking it like a mojo which will revolutionize the computing.
Even after arrival of quantum computer most of the task would be carried out by classical computer's

@@Synergic_Vans yes India has Quantum computers under a Government fund by the name of NQM (National Quantum Mission) and to understand the Quantum computer see videos by michio kaku he is a theoretical physicist and is an author of a book named "Quantum Supremacy" which will make you curious on this part of Science and technology.

I am a AI engineer working in the biology domain. But I am more into Machine Learning but the data are biological data. AI has helped to study cellular behaviour without damaging the real cell. This can have tremendous results in futures in the drug discovery, theuraptics, cellular reprogramming etc.

I'm studying for State PSC exam and I'm searching for clear explanation of quantum computing here. Trust me, this podcast gave me the most simplest and most understandable explanation I got.
Classical computing is based on only 2 states -like a switch - on or off i.e. 0 or 1. Logically states of 0 and 1 are represented by a variable we call a classical bit. Physically 0 and 1 is represented by high or low voltage or charged or discharged capacitors and useful operations on them can be done by circuits / gates constructed by semiconductors. Its the useful operations of binary addition and few other similar operations where "computing" is realised.
Coming to quantum computing the unit on which we operate is called a quantum bit or a qbit. The way it differs from a classical bit is that it can be in a super imposed states of 0 and 1. Util classically measured, we can't say for certain that its value is 0 or 1. In the quantum realm we have circuits which can operate on a qbit and allow us to utilise its superposition quality to give us a different type of computing and arrive at very interesting results.

The quatum computation is similar to binary computation also known as qubits. Qubits are 0 and 1. In this theory, we use quantum physics which works on energy levels and charge particles. Understand the energy level diagram for 0-D/1-D/2-D/3-D, density of states tells the charge/qubits flow. It works on 4 properies like superposition, interference, entanglement and decoherence.

1. Heart is Software. CPU has fixed role. It can only be fast or slow.
2. Bhagwan ban jayenge. Nahi, abhi human brain ko simulate karne se door hain.
3. "Drug testing speedup". Effect of inorganic things like drugs on inorganic things like chemicals etc. can be computed. But for organic things and whole organic system like human body is too complex for computers.
4. Population things are very accurate in my opinion.

We have Quantum Babas in current day. Why not ask them, study them. Babuji dasharat bhai Patel met a sadhu in his home town in gujarat living remotely. He asked the sadhu, how u organise food? The sadhu asked what do you wish to eat? He materialised dry fruits. There are many sadhus living in caves who are living Quantum realities. But we don't pay attention to them. Dhirendra Shastri said his grandfather was miles ahead of him and turned water to oil just like Sai baba. What are we doing? Just being arrogant and delaying the ascension process. I am really home sick! And the journey is at snails pace.

@@airyelephant well i took the subject in first place, because its actually revolutionaty! However in reality its unable to attend its true potential and people from the field are paid as low as sweepers or daily wage workers! You cannot even survive with such pay! Other than that most of these researches which you ought to read in your these papers and articles, stay confined to those papers only!
And talking abt research scenario, students are pursuing phd in this field not because they want to do research, but because even after doing masters with great marks,, the jobs offered in the field pay absolutely less! And then there is problem of funds.
So i feel its nowhere near revolutionary as of now!
The last few statements were very insightful. If country needs high population they cannot go to higher technology and higher standards of living for a given fixed resources say for example land resources. It cannot happen that best of both worlds are possible. Either less population and more automation or high population and more manual for the same set of available natural resources.
