Yes, she is one of the best sopranos in the world, but not in opera. She has been singing with world known singers at conserts for many years. She is now 53 years old, not the young girl you see on this clip.

Too commecial! The original of this song is Maori and is about the wistful longing for the return of a lover. Bongo drums don't suit this scenario! BUt I love Sissel and she at least seems to appreciate the melody.
If you understod the Norwegian parts it might get better for you :)
