@@rosmarygiovani I'll say whatever I want, y o u don't get to give me orders on speech and thought. 🙄 Lots of people (especially straight men) don't think K K L is that pretty or attractive and believe it or not, there's no f a t w a against expressing that opinion.
Ridge finds Brooke and Nicky sleeping next to each other on the beach and interprets that as a sign that... he should marry Brooke as soon as possible? 🙄
You know the situation was set up by dear old stephanie who has always caused problems for ridge and brooke manipulating. When you think about it why shouldn't she be interested in someone else. Like ridge did with taylor when he was trying to get back with brooke. The situations are very similar. Taylor is the part nick is playing now.
@@rosmarygiovani Oh really? As far as I recall Ridge even thought of getting serious with Brooke only because of Stephanie. And Stephanie failed in 3 straight attempts - When Caroline was married to Thorne, soon after Caroline died, and while Ridge was getting closer to Taylor. And why? Because Ridge chose to dump Brooke. Its now 2003, and the only justifiable reason why Ridge is interested in Brooke is because she was "changed" to be more like Caroline and Taylor.
Thorne throwing Macy’s inability to have children in her face and making assumptions about her motives because of it was sexist and infuriating. Everyone on this show, even that little high-pitched weasel Little Ricky, feels free to discuss her hysterectomy and the ways in which it is motivating her. Sadly not entirely unrealistic; in real life, people often feel free to say the worst things to and about women who can’t have children.
@@FayeIL that's another time when Deacon was really likable - Amber was talking about Macy's infertiIity and he just went, "she had a hysterectomy, not a Iobotomy!" I agree that the notion, voiced by several people but especially Brooke, that Macy's inability to have children has made her go "cra zy", is very probIematic.
*Macy's confusing characterization* I keep finding the writing for Macy's character during this Deacon storyline a little "off". Her motivations are very unclear. Is she supposed to be sincere in her feelings for Deacon and his children? Is she trying to compensate for the loss of her own marriage and her fertiIity? Is it about revenge against Brooke? All of the above? In her conversation with Sally earlier, Macy seemed genuine in her love for Deacon when Sally addressed all those doubts and Macy reassured her, and this is the impression she gives when she is with Deacon and Little Eric as well. And yet, when Thorne talks to her it seems like she has unresolved feelings for him (which is naturaI since it's only been two months since their marriage ended and she loved him deeply). Macy is usually a reliable narrator but this is one time when we are not sure that Macy herself knows her own mind, and that seems out of character. But I have a theory (which may be me reading too much into what may just be poor writing, but here goes). The writing for Macy may be out of character, but it's an "in-character out-of-character behavior." That is, Macy has behaved out of character _in this exact way_ once before. During her first alcoholism storyline in 1993, there was a short period of time when she appeared to be doing better after Thorne found her in the alley and they reunited, but in fact she was struggIing to stay sober (and did end up falling off the wagon) because she hadn't deaIt with her problem. During that time, she dispIayed a lot of the same characteristics that she does in the Deacon storyline - running on overdrive, hyperoptimistic, in love and rushing into a relationship she wasn't ready for, and in complete deniaI about her own serious issues and her need to face them. And this is also one of the few times when Sally was _wrong_ in her maternal intuition about Macy and completely missed her relapse. And now, it's the same way. She is putting all her energy into getting Deacon's life back together, while setting aside her own problems. She is convincing herself that she is doing fine, after having recently suffered several major Iosses. She is jumping into big life decisions and new relationships without giving herself pause to think. And although she appears to be doing well on the surface, we get the feeling that she may not be completely honest with herself about her own feeIings. The major difference is that this time around, this confIict within Macy is not being clearly defined in the writing. We do have a lot of characters questioning her motivations and her state of mind, but the question is never really resolved but left up in the air because she is unalived by a random chandelier before we actually get the answer. (The chandelier incident was always a very strange and unnecessary writing choice. Bell apparently felt that Macy's storyline had reached a dead end, when in fact the birth of Darla's baby had the potential to give it new energy by revealing Macy's true feelings. Or better yet, if Thorne had pushed Macy out of the way and _he_ had been the one who ended up in a coma instead.)
Love this analysis! While your theory makes sense, it makes me sad because I don’t want to think of the changes Macy’s making as being reactionary and negative. She’s so good with Little Eric and seems to blossom around Deacon. I think I’m also really protective of her because of her fertility issues, which everyone and their brother seem to feel entitled to use against her. If Bobbie Eakes hadn’t left, doubtless Brad would have turned her bad. So maybe it’s better just not to know.
@@FayeIL I don't either, and I agree that her being so good with Deacon and Little Eric speaks against this interpretation. For me, the main thing that supports my theory is how fast the storyline is moving (which may well be just bad writing) - she was too in love with Thorne, and too traumatized by what happened to her, to be completely past it so soon. I do think that _consciously,_ Macy has no uIterior motives. Whatever is going on with her is underneath the surface.
Ridge looks like that man from the Curious George books in that dumb yellow jacket. Bridget looks cute in that Missoni-style top, especially with her tan. That’s my fashion commentary for the night 😂.
Just thinking. Remember all the times Deacon used his fighting skills to hurt someone? He didn do it to Thorne this time. Maybe because he was with a lady like Macy or because he is really trying to be a better man.
@babs4848 If Deacon had used his fighting skills on Thorne, that would have ruined any chance of the courts siding with him and Macy would see Deacon as violent 🙄 No points for acting normal lol
This is the real macy speaking. She used jake she used lorenzo and she is now falling back on deacon. Thorn is right she couldn't have fallen in love so quickly she likes being a mother to his kids only.
She did not use Jake. She cared for Jake. As a lover and a friend. . And lorenzo knew she did notnlove him. She let herself be pushed into being woth him at the I distance of him and her dad. She should have married him. But she ended it with him at least.
You are wrong Ridge. Brooke really loves Nick♥. Much more than she ever loved you. Unfortunately she allowed herself to be brainwashed by you again and left Nick😞, but their love and their bond was strong because they were always voor each other. In 2006 they finally got together and after their marriage I no look longer any further and fantasize that they will stay together forever and live a long happy life❤BROOKE AND NICK FOREVER - GOING BACK AGAIN + BRING IT ON.
They had to ruin Nick’s character to bring back Bridge together in 2007. Nick became controlling and possessive not unlike Massimo and I never really bought it because Nick came to the show all easygoing.
I don't know what you're fantasizing about. Brooke never stays with Nick but always leaves him for Ridge. With that she broke his heart once too many and that was it. Nick is not sissy Ridge
I don't like Deacon's behavior here (interrupting, shouting), but Thorne, it is also poor taste to come to someone's place and then expect that someone to just leave so that you can talk to his fiance, your ex-wife, alone.
Now Nicky is angry because Stephanie set them on the island where they declared their love! And Brooke also? How many times did Brooke arrange dinners at the same restaurant Ridge was with another woman?
Brooke loves to scheme on other ppl to get her way (starting with stealing Caroline's letter). But she can't stand anyone scheming on her. Anyways as Steph said what they do on the island is up to them. I suppose they'll blame Steph for the fog too and trapping them on the boat together all night.
Stephanie is showing Ridge what's going on with the two blondes. Brooke said she was in love with Nick on that beach. But hey, Stephanie manupulated them all. So this Nicky/ Brooky thing , it's all an illusion? Or is it real?
I am dying laughing right now. My husband is watching with me and he said “I’m so sick of watching Ridge chase after this raggedy broad!” 😂🤣😂🤣
😂😂😂 Your hubby would fit right in with our comment section! Isn't it funny how guys in real life are just completely unimpressed with her?
