I left High Wycombe in 1989 and I am surprised how nice the Eden still is ( Octagon it was called then ) I have seen other videos of town centers but High Wycomber doesn't look so bad as all the others. I have lived in Asia now for over 25 years and would never go back. The Uk has dark times to come I believe.
I used to live in High Wycombe from the early 1970s to mid 1980s. The Eden centre used to be 'The Octogon'. One half of it was dark and horrible and the other half is nice and bright. Now it is completely transformed, I hardly recognise it.

I'm from the North East, moved down to High Wycombe in 1975 for work, lived up the West Wycombe road in a rented what was called a flatlet but was more like a bed sit the rent was £16.00 a week that was all of my wife's wages! She worked in Adams childrens clothes shop in the Octigon, I worked at lovell Plant hire I remember that summer was red hot for weeks and us going to the out door swimming pool in the park. We had happy times while living in Wycombe but alas home sickness took a hold and we ended up moving back up North. Watching this video I hardly recognise the place and the Eden Centre is something to be proud of I would say it's very much like the Metro Centre up here. I've looked on Google street map at the house where we lived on West Wycombe road I see it's still flats and hasn't changed much... Enjoyed the video thanks for the memories.

The only places I've been to in High Wycombe have been TGI Friday and the Omniplex Cinema. I'm glad i found this video of the town centre
Nice video. I haven't been to Wycombe since 1990. Eden Was The Octagon back then. You can still see parts of The Octagon at the end of the video.
