Betsy if I wanted to do that same technique in my nightstand but I want antique gold what paint would you suggest. The night stand is currently brown wood 🪵
How has this piece stood up over time since you’ve completed? I’m in the beginning process of planning to redo all my furniture with silver leafing and love the look of it but want it to withstand time
Hi Betsy I have tried to use silver leaf to no avail I just can't get it to look right now im trying to remove the sticky sizing and paint with a metallic instead. What am I doing wrong? I first painted it with kilz.???
Sorry for the late reply, but I used Home Depot's Behr brand on this project, but have used Sherwin Williams, and valspar in other projects. I I tend to mix latex paints into it, so i stick with latex paint brands. I've not found much difference from brand to brand. I have never tried any of the craft paint brands for glaze, but since it's meant to give a longer working time and dry time, I think these would work too for a lower cost option. Good luck on your project .
Excellent work
Beautiful!
Great tutorial, wish I found this first😂 but I’m sure I’ll still create something unique. Thank you
Great video I want to silver leaf the center of my black bar cabinets.
Any special latex paint colors in the Wash ? Looks like a medium grey ? Thank you - Your work is beautiful 🤩
Great tutorial. I'm going to give this a try!
Love, love, love this gorgeous piece!!
Was the last coat of paint and glaze a darker grey then the original coat of paint ?
Very cool, love it.
Stunning! What color & brand was the grey latex paint?
