I have both these insturments. I rarely play the Angel but think it is ok. The Angel can give you a good experiance to learn on, so if that is in your buget, go for it. I practice mostly on the Yamaha 314BII. The 314BIII has it's issues. I find that it ( 314BIII ) has poorer response at the top on F and G. If you like to play up there you will run into it. I am preparing Telemann's Sonata in F TWV 41:F2 for performance and the 314BIII just does not cut it. If I use the 314BII I sail on through the high notes without thinking about them so that is what I practice on till I am ready to pull out the wood. I prefer the Yamaha over Angel but feel you can do a whole lot worst than getting an Angel.
@@nightheme365 Great/thanks for realising the same issue about Ecodull. Meanwhile, I discovered THE best (inexpensive) 440 resin alto in existence today: the Aulos HAKA! Highly recommended! Outstandingly lovely overtones, I am absolutely delighted 🤗
The joints are hard because you need to grease them. After greasing, they'll slip over each other very smoothly. You can damage (make dents) if you use force. Also, is it ABS resin just like the Yamaha ones or just some plastic?
I don’t hear a 20 euro difference especially when you just took the Angel out of the case! Lovely playing on both!🙏
Speaking about (the lower priced) ABS resin alto recorders, NOTHING can beat my 30 y.o. Yamaha YRA-314 (Yamaha YRA-312) ♥

I had this Angel recorder only for a special occasion on a trip 😅 now it’s just part of my collection. 🤓
Long time no see!
🤓🙋🏼♂️
I feel lucky because my first Recorder I purchased was an Ecodear Alto 😅
Utterly disappointed with plasticky and dull Ecodear Alto's characterless sound. Will stick to my amazing 30yo Yamaha YRA-302B (YRA-314)

Thanks for the video. Clear difference... Btw, great playing!!
Thank you very much ☺️
1:33 Nick, that's not Vivaldi, but Nicolas Chédeville's "Il Pastor Fido"🤭
Trust me on this one 😇
There is a controversy about the original composer. My Schot edition says Vivaldi, that’s why I used it🤷🏼♂️

It says that it is ABS resin. It also feels lighter in hand than Yamaha.
@@nickperpirakis2211 Alright, thanks!
What's the price of the yamaha?
For 12 euros, it sounds good to me!
The Yamaha cost around 40€. Yes, for 12€ sounds good, but playing at the Yamaha one is much easier.
Yes... this cheap one could be much better. To me... it isn't worth the money. With double the money you can have an actually good starter instrument.
Yes, I agree with you. Around 40€ you can find very good instruments.
@@nickperpirakis2211Can you please recommend a brand?
