That's why they had the dual mass flywheels I believe. Switch to a solid flywheel there will be some noise and vibration at lower rpms. With a full face organic disk and sprung hub it should be not excessive. My Luk setup which included the flywheel was much quieter than the more aggressive metallic disk clutch that was in there when I bought the truck. A fluidamper crankshaft pulley would probably help a lot on a diesel.
My 03’ NV5600 clutch is LOUD when I first let 2nd gear out. The clutch pedal also feels like 30+lbs weight is behind it (very heavy pedal feel). I guess I have a dual disk clutch in there from the previous owner. I’m looking to quiet that down so I’ve been thinking of going with an OEM style clutch and flywheel.
Just wrapped up installing mine. Everything was meticulously done. I expected some noise but neutral is extremely loud.. You would think something is wrong. Drives excellent. It doesn't seem yours is near as loud.🙁
May be.. I did do the additional quart. I've just uploaded a video of just how loud it is. Check it out if you have a chance. Appreciate your help. I'm waiting to hear back from Valair to see what they have to say.
Hello brother, I have some questions about the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I have some problems. I would like to contact you if necessary. I am from Saudi Arabia and I own a 2004 Dodge Ram gasoline car
@@OutpostCTDhow’s the clutch going? I’ve advised to get a Valair quiet street dual disc organic since I tow a lot (5K 3x a week, and 12K 2x a week) I really want a single disc because I hate the loud noise of a dual disc but not sure what to do. Do you tow with your truck?

If you are having issues when backing up a short distance you night try using 4 Low and see if that makes it better.👍
Did you install it yourself? I have the stock replacement single disk...works great with 7k on it very quiet 07 5.9

Did you put sae50 oil in your trans?
I haven't.. Still using the factory Atf at the moment. I was concerned there'd be hard shifting in cold weather with the thicker fluid.
@@ChaseTruCutLawn that might explain our difference in volume. I also put close to 7 qts versus the standard 6 in mine.

Other than the noise it drives excellent and as expected.

Clutch still doing good? I’m torn between this clutch you have and the quiet dual disc organic Valair clutch
Still doing good. This was a recent video but I’m up to about 5,500 miles on the setup as of now.
