It honestly depends on each individual restaurant. The papa johns where I live is awful but I've been to great papa johns elsewhere and it's the same for the other chains
I'm actually surprised a lot of people do not like thin crust. I like all pizza but prefer thin crust because it's lighter and crispy. Thick crust makes you stuffed faster, good when you are so hungry. Both still good though. Oh, what I like better in thick crust though is when it has cheese or sausage inside the crust
