It's a weird request. There is nothing against music in Quran, bible Torah Hindi scripture stop following clerics who are following tradition not Islam.

I mean to say as a Muslim we have to take care of the likes and the dislikes of the Prophet Mohammad saw, in other word - without following the way Of Nabi S.A.W. a Momin cannot succeed.
