From my experience I could say that, in Mumbai the prices of the commodity varies quite a lot from places to places. If you're saying specifically about South Bombay area then, it's true. Prices over there is quite high. But that isn't true for the rest of the Mumbai. You could easily find any cheap shops in other parts of Mumbai.
Crypto is risky as many would say but I think the actual risk in Crypto is not investing, buying the capitulation isn't a tough call, but it is a very tough call to figure out what to do aside holding. When talking about Bitcoin, many talk about how it technically works, but to understand Bitcoin it is nessesery to understand that is is basically placing a bet against the state monetary system or against the central banks. Buying Bitcoin at it's core means that you think that the central banks money system will crash before Bitcoin crashes. There are good arguments that a Bitcoin will live longer than a Dollar, Euro, Yen, Pound or whatever, but there are also a lot of reasons against. In the end it is a bet NOT an investment!
Yup and many don't see that because they are bought in with MLM marketing tactics. Beying paid for spreading the word. Being paid for holding it, being paid for inviting/converting others. I guess religion would be even more spread if only it would promise enternal bliss if you convert as many friends as you can and make them become model zealots.
I agree with your assessment. Bitcoin's value is way too volatile to actually buy anything with it. The fact that China banned bitcoin mining and transactions is pretty big. There is logically no reason for Bitcoin to be increasing in value at this point.
I don't know whether bitcoin will outlive dollar, euro, or pound. But I do know that the dollar will outlive me. So I rather prefer dealing everything in dollars.

The USD in its roughly 100 years of existence lost over 99% of its purchasing power, at the same time a single country holds so many dollars that they can crash it completely at every given time and the USA (and the EU and UK and Japan) is so deep in debt that they can never ever repay. So if you don't expect to die within the next 5 years I would not bet on the USD.

The single biggest problem for decentralized currency is just that: it doesn't have a central authority to back it up with the force of violence. I know its strange to think this way in 2021, but the truth is whoever holds the biggest stick is right. That is how it has always worked. Having said that, I thought about the merits of applying the blockchain technology to current centralized fiat currency, but then I realized that governments purposely destroyed the link to hard assets (gold) to better control economies. Anyways fiat currency and all trading cryptocoins are essentially ponzi schemes, with the exception of fiats having the force of violence protecting it.

Great video. The biggest issue with Bitcoin is as you said James, it’s value lies within people’s inherent belief in it. Then again, can’t the same be said for the USD, gold, diamonds? Just an interesting thought. It is unfortunate though the path BTC is headed. Now you have it being held within the hands of a select few hence it’s great monetary value.

The US dollar is backed by the government, world economy, the laws, the military. It’s pretty stable and therefore offers security. I feel content to get paid in dollars and I know what I’ll have next month and can make financial decisions and investments. Bitcoin is insecure. Today is something, tomorrow who knows. It’s like holding a hot potato or like playing musical chairs. Someone will be left hanging. It creates fear. That’s why I don’t have faith in it and most wealthy investors dont either

If a second axis arises independent of the first, the value of the dollar diminishes accordingly. I must say though, that I have never heard nor seen anyone explain crytocurrency in simple terms like you just did! Kudos to you Jani!
The single biggest problem for decentralized currency is just that: it doesn't have a central authority to back it up with the force of violence. I know its strange to think this way in 2021, but the truth is whoever holds the biggest stick is right. That is how it has always worked. Having said that, I thought about the merits of applying the blockchain technology to current centralized fiat currency, but then I realized that governments purposely destroyed the link to hard assets (gold) to better control economies. Anyways fiat currency and all trading cryptocoins are essentially ponzi schemes, with the exception of fiats having the force of violence protecting it.

Great video. The biggest issue with Bitcoin is as you said James, it’s value lies within people’s inherent belief in it. Then again, can’t the same be said for the USD, gold, diamonds? Just an interesting thought. It is unfortunate though the path BTC is headed. Now you have it being held within the hands of a select few hence it’s great monetary value.
@@jota5189 agreed. Still I was just pointing out how human beings naturally place value on items that inherently are worth nothing (from an esoteric pov that is).
Gold and diamonds have actual use and purpose, bitcoin is just a bunch of bits. The dollar is backed by us government.
The US dollar is backed by the government, world economy, the laws, the military. It’s pretty stable and therefore offers security. I feel content to get paid in dollars and I know what I’ll have next month and can make financial decisions and investments. Bitcoin is insecure. Today is something, tomorrow who knows. It’s like holding a hot potato or like playing musical chairs. Someone will be left hanging. It creates fear. That’s why I don’t have faith in it and most wealthy investors dont either
@@amylee9 This is why the governments of the West have been so militant in the past century, with the most recent example being the Asian conflict spinning up.
If a second axis arises independent of the first, the value of the dollar diminishes accordingly. An independent Asia, with its own SWIFT-equivalent and stable flow of goods, would directly challenge the dollar to the tune of 50% or more of value.
@@robertbeisert3315 I can see that system propping the yuan but not Bitcoin. Currency needs stability to be a useful investment vehicle. As we’ve seen with each crisis, when gold goes up, crypto goes down.
