Oh my Lord, an utterly amazing performance by Kerry and the boys. Robby and Steve at the top of their game, full of power and passion. This IS classical rock music at its finest!
best version of this epic song i've ever heard - played the album version countless times in my teenage days - Kansas were compositional geniuses who brought class to heavy rock
I love this version as. it is different than all the other performances of The Pinnacle, listen to this one and then a older version and try to figure out the difference between the two, my absolute favorite Kansas song , it just does not get any better, Kansas 1973 or Kansas 2024 there is nothing else like it
@@TimmyP1955 th-cam.com/video/CBFQ06QASu4/w-d-xo.html This is the video... After this song they played The Pinnacle But its cut off... I don't know why ...
This had me fooled for a fat second; I thought it was the studio version. Steve sometimes didn't have the strength and stamina in his vocal chords when he first started singing live (you can hear it in old recordings), but when he did have a good night, his voice was astounding.
He was amazing from the beginning, he had some trouble when he came back after Power and Spirit of Things, and had to clean up again but finished strong...the first 4 Albums he was amazing live, I know, I saw every tour until he left
Been listening for 40 years, still can't get enough!!

Live version of
The Pinnacle by Kansas..
Ohhh Lord..
Magical.....
Can't get better than this....👏👏👏
Kerry's song writing ability was amazing!!!!
A 24 year old Steve Walsh, what a voice!
Best live performance I've ever heard!!! Hands down
I believe this is one of the rare live versions where Steve emits the final high notes of the song. This song is amazing and the high notes too!

No one really sounds like them, do they? Incredible musicians and vocalists !!

Steve killed it on this track...
Cool, one of my most favorite songs by them! :-)
There used to be a true live video with intro by Don K. I've not been able to find it for ages.
I've seen that one and it's the best Kansas video ever IMHO. Wish you could still see it.
It was the live version of
Mysteries n Mayhem and The Pinnacle...
@@Eryk_Thyle I don't recall Mysteries being part of it. th-cam.com/video/CBFQ06QASu4/w-d-xo.html

The live version is in one of Kansas' boxed sets, titled Sail On 30th Anniversary.
that electric hum @7:29 is the best! real deal!!
There is a box set of the 30th Anniversary Collection, called sail on. It is a video history.
I wish they would release this show on CD/digital one day.

There used to be live footage of this but it probably got taken down for copyright.
Best prog rock song ever!
A band like no other
Same as the studio version. No, better!
Where is the video portion of this, that use to be on YT?
