Spoilers What an explosive ending, I think it was the first time the restaurant got shut down for a legitimate reason instead of being “a customer got angy for waiting in line too long” 😂 Great run you guys!
That could be very valid as this means they'll hold up the line outside taking extra time to get to their table which makes the table layout even more important as well
Good job y'all! Yeah, that getting stuck in fire was a glitch with this version that's been patched out. And yeah, the dev does intend for the game to be automated, and that is the point of all the upgraded research desks
@@kimsteffan As far as we know, there will be no early access for the general public. There is a demo currently up on steam that you can play, and the dev has said that there will be an announcement soon related to the release of the game
Every restaurant: Day 2: mop Stumpters: we dont need it right know Day 7: counter, table, whatever Stumpters: OH MY GOD, WE ONLY NEED A MOP 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Why the mop only shows up in the early days??? Sadge
I think a good thing for the dev to add is like an "online shop" module where they can order the basic stuff anytime at any amount but at like 3 times the price
I do feel they often say that! XD $5 for a kitchen mat? Nah we aren't getting messes in the kitchen & then a few days later the menu gets messier and there are messes in the kitchen too XD
With the extra plates from the autoplater, you guys probably could have invested in upgrading a sink to a dishwasher instead. Extra plates mean that the dishwasher wouldn't hold up most of the plates and being automated meant more hands on the floor to clear tables or clean messes especially when the mop just didn't appear. Price could handle the dishes at times since the toast wasn't an issue.
XD that was such a hilarious run! It would be cool to see a sandbox mode so that you can build the most ridiculous automated restaurant like you're imagining
This was such an amazing run because y’all were able to try new things!! And that ending was probably the FUNNIEST one yet. Thanks for the content guys 🤣
I think they should make the first level of franchise easier, then allow you to take some items into the franchise. That way you could start with e.g. a blueprint desk and some grabbers, etc. (maybe also just some more starting money). This would make sense if you consider the franchise to be a "hard mode" where you'll really need some automation to make it.
100% sides over sedated atmosphere. Fewer groups. And while the toast is automated you can spend the extra time making sides on the extra hob and oven. Also the sides can be put in prep stations to go with the theme of highly automated and highly upgraded. But the con is that the guest still can change the orders but that can be remedied by the waiting for them to change the order once or sniping the tables that on ask for toast only. Also you could have someone send plated toast to the tables and someone following with a side. So one person locks the table order and the other follows with the corresponding extra side or extra toast or extra toast with side.
We love Price obvi, in these plateup runs it just doesn't seem like he's having fun. Maybe he's having a bad day, I dunno. He just seems so stressed and always quick to dismiss any suggestions about card selections, or doesn't allow others to take the chef role, or gets angry when people move into "his" kitchen. It's funny at first but after a while it just seems like he's genuinely stressed, to the point it prevents others from fully having fun and be silly with this game. In a parallel universe, that kitchen being set on fire is Stumpt GOLD. They would've laughed for so long and made so many jokes about it and maybe even heightened it setting more things on fire. But you can sense everybody genuinely panicking to prevent Price from blowing up. This is NOT a hate comment and may not even be an accurate observation. I just wanna send love to all the stump crew (especially Price) and hope they know that the thing we enjoy most about their play-throughs is not a perfect run or skilled execution, but their silliness and humour.
I think you could have restarted the day and maybe save the run? I know there is a save function, just not sure if it autosaves every start of the day. Love how you are getting into automation now. Also, sink -> grabber -> plate stack -> auto plater -> counter
The ending was the most realistic restaurant scene ever... someone literally on fire while a server reaches around them to slice some bread... don't mind me... 🙄
I’m just imagining two dudes talking to each other, going “Hey man, have you heard about that new bar called Toastinos? I hear the service is so good they know what you’re going to order even before you’ve decided what you want!”
re: what ash said about getting more automation earlier in the game, i think it would be interesting if that was implemented alongside the ‘choose type of decor/restaurant you want’ day. im not too sold on the shop option, since that seems to defeat the roguelite aspect of the game. also, that was the funniest end to a plateup run i have ever seen
You know it sounds so simple it’s dumb but the devs should add an item that is just a little tub someone can carry. Like when people bus tables at restaurants they have the little tubs they toss stuff in? They could add that to the game and maybe slow you a little but let you carry 4 plates at a time?
In the new update there is a thing you can carry 2 plates with at once (dishes and dirty plates). They already tested it in one of their last streams, maybe it will be the next round on youtube.
PlateUp! really needs a shop system, it is a constant point of frustration with this game when you want a certain item but it just doesn't show up to purchase.
@@stumpt While watching Lemur's Corner and MissMonica's new patch 0.16 notes videos they discuss that the developers don't prefer a shop system and rather keep the posts system(daily blueprints) because they encourage everyone to participate in shopping rather than a centralize system of player 1 or host choosing in other cooking games.
Is there like an autocutter that can cut the toast? If so one could theoretically hook it up to a safety hob and automate that process? Leaving only the bread-making to the player?
When was this live on Twitch or was it ever? I thought all videos on TH-cam were cut up Twitch steams but maybe they're not? Wondering because I atm have time on my hand so I could watch more but can't find the Twitch VOD while on other times I'm really busy and don't have time to watch when things are uploaded to TH-cam. I would like to watch chronologically as runs are played because sometimes things from previous episodes are mentioned and also as they always learn from each run so if I jump between TH-cam and Twitch it gets weird if they're confused by something they knew in the run i watched before.
This particular video was an offline session. The easiest way to tell is by looking over the customer's heads to look for Usernames (twitch integration). It appears like Saturdays (USA time) is when they stream themselves playing multiplayer games such as this game. Look for the streams with the title "Stumpt Trunk Multiplayer Madness" & glance through to see if they played it on that session. I agree it feels so much better to learn along side them! Sadly these Offline sessions will often be far behind the streams since they're spread out into an upload schedule, tho one way to know if you may be watching a newer/older video is to take a look at the version number of the game on the lower right. On this video they are on version 0.15.4c while on the latest stream they played on ver 0.16.0. I believe it was on that stream when they were talking about how they finally had managed to use conveyers properly which I imagine was referring to these offline episodes which weren't out at the time.
I was watching them move around and I cant help but wonder what the deal is with this porky pig situation. Why does everyone who works in this restaurant refuse to wear bottoms?😄
I agree with Ash. Grabbers seem too expensive, take too many days of setup and are too rare to be feasible right now. Maybe automation is supposed to be used more sparingly, but it feels like devs want them to play large part in a successful restaurant.
@@hazeldite Yeah, they couldn't do anything except trying to extinguish the fire, as there wasn't a possibility to make any toast. I was more like screaming at the PC asking WHY they were NOT all immediately in the kitchen to help Price ^^
The crowd coming in just as Ash screams "hey y'all, if you would calm your butts" was the cherry on top.
I was laughing so hard
the best part omg 😆
And the stampede of people on top of him 😂
30:00 How one misplaced plate caused a restaurant to burn down.
The horde that ran Ash over at the end was a killer🤣🤣
I cried laughing at Ash yelling at the crowd

Great run you guys!
Having a small kitchen fire that was put out in
I didn't expect that end. Honestly, the conveyor bread was amazing.
"and now the bread's on fire"
"and now the bread's on fire"
i CACKLED the synchronization was so great 😭
That ending was unexpected and super fun ! Relieved to see Price let it go rather than raging, good job you all ^o^
With the slow penalty, buffer and mop would definitely come in handy.
Accidentally scrubbed ahead to the end... Pure anxiety...
Awh, it was going like a DREAM! This was their like most efficient round ever.
I actually really like the idea of the customers moving slow for the sedate atmosphere card.
That could be very valid as this means they'll hold up the line outside taking extra time to get to their table which makes the table layout even more important as well
I'm sorry, but that fire was so funny. The mop seems to pop up early, but no one takes them then.

I know it sucks that one moment at the end cost them the run cause of an oopise but MAN That was funny
Aenne trolling Jazzy at the end 😂
when Jas said we need to get ash a mop the first thing that came to my mind was ash be strimping/pole dancing on the mop

The locked-in-place at the end there is a bug that has been fixed in the 0.16 release. :)

this episode full of chaos 😭✋🏻
Well, that's how that goes. What an ending to that enterprise. lol.
Yeah those envelope drops were unlucky, but for the fire mess, why not just restart the day
I think you can only do that before it hits 3 days in multiplayer
Thank you! I needed that laugh! Y’all’s te very entertaining to watch. Was watching the more recent ones and had to start from the beginning,
Seems like blueprint desks are a must if you want the blueprints you want especially in 4 player co-op.

There’s a blueprint desk and a discount desk which essentially does allow you to buy any blueprint.
