The song is about how A.I. is driving humanity extinct, and the A.I. is taunting us, saying it's too late to stop it.
Multiple interpretations are possible, but this is my fave. Either way it's humanity f'ing itself.

@@nathanieljusten1725 Well the "long time" part is more about corporations and profit incentives controlling humanity. Back when we still had absolute monarchs, international arms dealers still had veto power over what actual absolute monarchs could sell to other countries and how. Now that they have AI, we're all dxxd. Whether they themselves are the first or last to go, they did this to us.
I highly recommend some of Poppy's music. I really love her cover of "Spit", but also "Concrete", "Bloodmoney", or "Eat" would be great choices as well.

It's beginning she's slowly gaining attention she's been at this for a really long time I remember finding her around when she first released lowlife and was pretty much hooked after that the entire concept and story it has this weird ARG aesthetic and it's hilarious watching people freak out with the oddity

I knew of poppy in other context but never seen her in music. This was such a banger!
Definitely recommend checking out her stuff if you like weird experimental music. She's done incredible stuff, especially on her album titled I Disagree.

I have a 1956 recording of Elvis at the Kentucky Farmers Fair.
Girls scream like mad when he does his hits, then he does Tooty Fruity - by little Richard whose voice is a wild scream style- Smooth voiced Elvis brings the mic very close to his mouth and distorts the signal... He gets the needed effect.. So does Poppy some 70 years later.
She also screamo screams though. She does it live.
You should check out Poppy - Scary Mask, X, Voicemail, Choke. Really any Poppy song is a great choice.
It’s a great collaboration; Poppy fits perfectly with Bad Omens’ music. Personally, I consider it a fantastic track, and it has left me eagerly anticipating Bad Omens’ upcoming album. I haven’t stopped playing this song over and over. Great job!

Noah has some singing (harsh vocal) parts in the live version which is really good. And Poppy looks great in her all black outfit.

Bisscute! You really need to hear, Katrina Valarde and Jessica Villarubin singing, I SURRENDER. You're not going to believe how good this duet really is. They're both Filipinas and have amazing voices. You're not going to believe the high notes and still harmonize. Please react to it, you will not be sorry. It may even make you cry. This was 2 or 3 months after Katrina's husband died of colon cancer. So you can see the pain in her face as she sings first in the video.

Poppy’s one of those wild, phenomenons where when I found her, she was fucking weird, random ass videos that were just odd, and I remember think half the time “What” and the other half of the time thinking “This is fucking weird” lol, but then she made a music video, for, some, very much “pop” style of music, and I was like “How wild, I’m not into that” and then, some short while, “Poppy’s going metal” and I was like “Excuse me?” But I mean, she’s doing it, and now she’s featuring on other tracks, so props to her. She’s, weirdly fun. Like a firecracker, you light it, you know it’s going to pop, but then it pops and you’re like “Woah” haha
Poppy - CONCRETE, I disagree, X and then go way back and be really, really confused by her early stuff.

Poppy is amazing! I got into her through her NXT appearances back in the day. Heavy/Nu/synth metal meets beautiful haunting vocals and she can scream! Obsessed! Definitely recommend for new listeners;

Just a little back story, Noah been going crazy and wanted this collaboration to happen, hes a fan of Poppy and since she’s touring with his group now, he wanted this video in both their visions, Yeah its 100% his approval and song, but she helped direct the song as well as the lyrics. Also I think this song is more Industrial metal. Also MY recommendations since You already love Bad Omens, I recommend Poppys song “Blood money” “Scary Mask” “I disagree” Thats her when she was getting into metal.

Hello Bisscute. Brutal, wild and dark this video. I don't know if I understood the song correctly, I don't speak your language and I'm still trying to assimilate the lyrics, the incredible music. Perhaps because of my training as a biologist, I was struck by violence against nature. Some strong expressions also particularly caught my attention, such as that I am on a par with God. Happiness is an illusion, just a coincidence in evolution, history has already forgotten. All of this makes me think about how humanity sometimes seems to be playing at being like a God, modifying nature at will, without any regulation, and how we could be approaching a point of no return in our relationship with nature and everything. with the pretext of seeking happiness, among other things. This and previous videos leave a lot to think about. As always, a great pleasure to see and hear you, greetings from Mexico City.
