here's a story to go with the picture, i don't own the picture btw just a little something I've come up with the ice king looked down at her peaceful sleeping form, that was covered in the blanket like snow, 'why did she run away' he thought 'why isn't heaven trying to find her' the thought then dawned on him, could she be like him, maybe, a reject, could she be his ice queen, no she couldn't she was far to beautiful for heaven to throw her out.He moved a few strand hairs from her doll like face thinking, 'well earthier way i cant just leave her here, she'll die in this weather' he picked up, her small, barely covered into his cold, gray arms and started walking into the dark side of the forest, not realizing both the flowers that followed them or that his life was to change forever. crap i know but i had to write it

Hesitantly, he reached a gloved hand toward the unconscious Persephone. Her face looked so delicate. A few of the flowers she was picking lay scattered around her, and their fragrance was sweeter than nectar. His hand stopped short. Should he wake her now? What would she say? Could...Hades felt worry in his heart, Could she be happy here? The Underworld was such a lonesome place, and he was far from entertaining to be with...but he loved her. The Earth...and Olympus...could not handle such beauty without marring it at some point. He was not licentious or perverse like his brothers--he would protect her, and he would forever be faithful. Gathering his resolve, Hades decided to let the goddess rest for now. Paranoid his touch would awaken the sleeping beauty, he had gentle spirits carry her to a room and place food at her bedside. ~J. She was too beautiful for heaven to throw her out' he gently knelt besides her, removing a few strands of her fiery red hair from her doll like face thinking 'either way, I can't leave her here, she will surely die if she stays' he then took her barely covered body into his cold, gray arms and started walking back to the castle, not realizing the flowers that followed them, or that his life would change for the better. Placing her on a bed of satin, he looked at her before covering her up, walking back through the castle. Only now he realised the flowers that crunched beneath his icy cold boots. He took a second to realize, she was his queen. And it took a minute for him to remember her name. Lorelie, he then went back into the room his queen was in and placed a soft romantic kiss on her velvet red lips. Her cheeks flushed with color as she kissed him back, surprising him. "Edward!" she said her voice as beautiful as her face. As she hugged him tightly "Oh, I thought I lost you!" he embraced her in her hug saying softly. " my queen, you'd never loose me, I have yearned for this day, our reunitement and now I have you back, ill never let you go" a single tear escaped her royal blue eyes hearing his words. I would love to walk through the streets of Reykjavík, in the middle of the polar winter, singing this song. It makes me feel like the Viking I know lies within me.
I realize it's Hades and Persephone, but when I first saw this picture, I thought these were both women, maybe a witch or dark warrior looking at a daughter, little sister, or lost childhood friend, a memory, or the last fragment of lost purity. I imagined as a kid that she was greedy, some tyrannical figurehead of evil that was overcome with grief upon seeing she wasn't there to prevent the death of someone innocent, and a feeling of being so repulsed by her own existence she doesn't want to pervade the innocence of the person lying in front of her by daring to touch her.
