I have for a long time wanted to put 1or 2 in a boat...i seen people have done it...anyone have any idea on how much one would cost that is timed out but runs....
Depends. How it is here, is usually how it sits in a helicopter. It’s flipped exhaust side down for turboprop use. Some manufacturers may do it differently.
One thing this guy did that you never do.... through fuel to the engine and take your hand off the control. If ITT rises to much you need to cut fuel ASAP. Always keep you hand on the throttle during starting and be ready to cut fuel... that is all.
0:54 0oooooooh that sound!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for you input. I assure you this guy knows what he is doing
I WANT ONE , stand and all.
The video is of a helicopter engine and yes the turboprop variation exhaust does go down

Just saw an ad for a 420 shp 250-C20B, with most major parts with at least 75% life left, was going for $139,000.
How do we load this engine to avoid overspeed
The fuel governor has a overspeed mechanism. It does not depend on load, just n2 rpm
Help me to understand this for a sec.... this engine shown here is actually upside down compared to what it's position in an aircraft would be ?

Bro, you can just slap those switches downwards in like .1 seconds.
Not good Videos at all should show running Turbines and thrust of the engine
its a turboprop / shaft... thrust doesnt come into it.
