I don't remember, but you could beat bosses and summon them in other battles like this and they would be at their full power with the same abilities, etc. The one special mission I was never able to win was one with a tiny orange goblin that would one-shot everything.

Tip: don't spend catfood. You can get cat food from catfood slots or from legend stages with the 10 free cat food each day or something.
