Definitely likes the mini-14. Gramaw speed is good because you build muscle memory, less chance of shooting yourself self. I like to see spray cans and shaving cream cans being shot as well.

I got a shed converted to a tiny cabin and a range sitting across the creek. Great shit man keep them coming! Your mini 14 is my favorite. I kinda wanna get one of them wood stocks like yours but I’ve been putting it off and getting used to the pistol grip. Also the lever actions are my favorite along side the mini!

Look into a proper Specter Gear sling for your Mini if you want to use it "tactically". Trying to transition in real life with a "hunting sling" will probably get you killed. Keep the Mini love alive my friend!
Specter makes some awesome gear but this particular sling was added for purposes of hunting. I won’t be doing sling transitions with this for self defense purposes.
@@thegeth4293 they make amazing slings, but they don't make a sling that has the correct orientation to be used tactically. The only and best option for a Mini is Specter Gear.

Woah! An sbs Mini-14 and p220 (10mm) is my deep woods carry. Excellent taste imo. A 12g shotgun is my usual long gun in bear country, but when I want a distance option, I love the mini-14.
@@LLpros I put a lot of training time and thousands of dollars of ammunition into Magnum wheel guns. Still can't hit for shit with them. A heavy all metal 10 mm semi-auto is so much more manageable for me. I don't have small hands and I'm plenty strong, but there's just something about Magnum wheel guns that I can't seem to master. 10 mm ha definitely become very popular for bear defense.

I have had no problems with the following Ruger factory magazines: 5-round (x3) 10-round (x1) 20-round (x3) 30-round (x3) I also have had no problems with three plastic 30-round after-market magazines.
You could try a drill where are you have your mini 14 slung instead of on slung and then you can just drop it and it’ll swing to your left side and you’ll be able to draw your pistol if you know what I’m saying
Like what I’m saying is sling your rifle with a muzzle pointed down in front of you not so much like a African safari more like an operator type of a sling maybe it needs a little more slack in it I don’t know because then you could just drop it and shave off a bunch of time on your transition and it wouldn’t be in your way if you’re pissed I mean don’t get me wrong practice however you want but typically I sling my gun in front of me not behind me

That leather sling I have on there is still rigid and kinda locks me into only a couple positions that’s comfortable. That being said, I still like it bc how sturdy it feels when I have it slung over a shoulder.
