LCC No. 1 'Bluebird' presentation at Crich on 13 September 2024

On 13 September 2024, members of the National Tramway Museum (NTM) and Light Rail Transit Association (LRTA) were invited to attend the unveiling and presentation of former LCC prototype tramcar No. 1 at Crich. Following speeches by representatives of the NTM and LRTA, number 1 made its inaugural run up the museum line with a full compliment of members on board. It remained in service for the rest of the day, giving the 350 or so attendees the opportunity to sample a ride on this beautifully restored car. The London theme was enhanced by the running in service of E/1r 1622 and B 106. A brilliant, well organised event that will be remembered for many years and grateful thanks go everyone involved in making it happen.
