Absolutely as even if only there was one victim, it’s one too many. The welcome refugee set need to meet the families of the many victims and go into prisons where the number of refugees is greatly out of proportion to their numbers in society. If I was in charge of Govt I would pass a law that states any person that's been granted asylum, who then commits ANY offense, the person who GRANTED the asylum IS ALSO PROSECUTED. I recon they would only grant asylum to those whom have been THOROUGHLY VETTED IN THE UK AND INTERPOL.
Edited: the crazy thing is people get vetted all the time for jobs, and medical care and other such things - but being allowed to walk freely around the country and claim taxpayer funded benefits? Nothing. No paperwork, no ID, no checks, no NOTHING.

Maybe a person who grants someone asylum should only be prosecuted if they failed to do a proper investigation that would have revealed an asylum seeker was a threat to society. I agree they should be held responsible for the harm caused to others through their own negligence.

I needed an enhanced DBS which took ages to process to work at a school. Laws and regulations doesn't seem to apply to these people. They come in illegally for goodness sakes! We already do. Right before covid, when i was still doing voluntary work with homeless people etc in france, i happened to meet so called refugees. They were given money to buy clothes etc. I had no idea how all this worked and i was quite shocked. Amongst all these men, i found only one guy who was really fleeing his country. The others were here only to live off benefits , and as a girl i can tell you most of them didn't have good intentions. I got to witness that because i speak many languages and the organisations who help these men don't even understand what they're saying.

The Home Office must be made accountable and be held responsible on a personal basis to pay compensation. If soldiers who fought for us in NI and Afghanistan are being put through the courts, so should the Home Office staff.

The first duty of government is to protect its citizens. So.. when immigrants (legal and illegal) commit crime, the government should be held to account with the threat of imprisonment. We will all die, from accidents and illness. No one should die at the hands of immigrants! Likewise, the idiots who have killed motorists after making 'smart' motorways should also be held responsible.
I'm absolutely furious about this, as a former career serviceman who was sent to Iraq and Afghanistan to prevent such things spilling over into Europe and the UK. It's boggling the governments are just letting them into the country without detaining them and checking them out. This is betraying the many services personnel who have fallen who tried to prevent this and keep Britain safe.

I have recently seen a photograph depicting staff members of a large department within the Home Office. In that photograph there was ONE white man and all the remaining staff members were from visible minorities. Of the visible minority staff the majority were (apparently) Muslim women. I don’t know if they were involved in the immigration process but I do imagine that the department demographic will be repeated across the HO and this would have an impact on the decision making process regarding illegal migration and not in a good way.
