It is crucial to get your reciprocating air compressor OFF the skid after delivery. DO NOT leave the air compressor on the skid for install and use in your compressed air system. Reciprocating air compressors do just that - they reciprocate pistons back and forth to compress air. This reciprocating motion causes a lot of movement and vibration, something a low quality shipping skid will not support.
